How do I explain this to her?

I met this girl at a bar a week ago, we talked once on the phone since then and the conversation ended very quick because I said i was tired and that i would call her the next night.

Here is the problem, I lost my cell the very next day and, on top of that when I tried to call my cell company to just retrieve the number that I dialed recently, they said they could not do anything for me because I dialed it within the current billing cycle and only a court supoena could get it. Now I must hope she calls me or wait 3 weeks so I can see my cell bill and then call her.

Whatever I say it is going to sound like complete BS to her.
This really sucks cause she seems like a "good girl". Not a party girl at all.

Any suggestions on what I can say so it doesn't sound so made up?

Yep, just tell her the truth the next time you see her. Keep in mind that this can be used in your favor. It's usually easy to tell when someone is telling the truth, and by doing so (provided of course she believes you) you should gain a point or two.....

Exactly! This is not a big deal are you in 5th grade or something? Just tell her exactly what you told us and if she's mature she'll say ok and then you two will continue on where you left off.

just say you lost her number when your lost your phone and had no way to contact her. don't go into too much detail unless she asks specifically or you'll start to sound scripted.

THEN you knock on her for not calling you!
