how could i have played this better?

if i made an azz of myself after being introduced to a girl i tried picking up last week to her housemate, should i make any mention of my indiscretion?

i made a bad joke about her being premenstrual when she made the conclusion that she was in a bad mood when she met me last week and also today. her 2 housemates reaction was 'ooh..' as in dont go there.. i realised afterwards it was in a bad taste and a bit crude though i still think its funny. she was only joking about her mood being linked to me but i made a bad firt impression with her housemate who is way hotter.

basically she carried on talking to her other housemate while i tried to game her other 1 but i didnt really do anything more than LJBF convo.. i overstayed my welcome a bit cos i could tell that as soon as she was looking to go back to talk to her friends i made my goodbyes to leave. i should have done this 2mins before.

doesn't it look bad if i was trying it with her and now with her housemate a week later? the original girl has a long term bf.

fast forward today.. i see her again but didn't go talk to her cos i wanted to finish watching the match online, which was about to finish.. i had a good half hour to talk to her but then her bf came in..

tbh what can i really do?

i want her housemate but chances of her being with her there are slim.. is it pointless showing my interest in her housemate via her?

she'll definitely tell her.. but i think that''ll just supplicate her housemate/avoid me after the poor first impression.

Dont let it bother you, girls will look for excuses to stir up their emotions. If you don't let it bother you and talk to the housemate and all of her friends like it never happened, she will soon forget about it.

You set the frame, if u feel all awkward and uncomfortable when you are talking to her because you made this comment then she will feel the same way.
