this may seem like an odd question, but since i moved to florida i steadily lost 25 pounds over the last 5 months. i'm 6'2 and always was on the skinny side but right now am at 140 pounds, which i really dont like and would like to bring this number back up to 160-170.

i dont watch what i eat(carbs, fat etc..) or how much i eat( basically until i'm completely full), which makes it even harder to determine why i keep losing weight.

one possible thing i can think of is a limited variety in food. i'm a college student w/o a car so shopping is a big pain in the ass. i usually get something like pasta, bagels, franks, cheese, instant noodles, basically anything i can make in under 10 minutes.

i dont have time to go to the gym so i'm just looking to change my diet, anyone know how?

p.s. no, i'm not terminally ill, keep the jokes.

I'm sure you can find 3 hours a week to go to the gym. That's all you need. 1 hour every other day, 3 days out of the week. Watch less TV or spend less time on this website if you must. Just the fact that you had the time to register and post on this message board suggests you have the time.

As for your diet...

i dont watch what i eat(carbs, fat etc..) or how much i eat( basically until i'm completely full), which makes it even harder to determine why i keep losing weight.
Start watching what you eat.

*bows down to Shiftkey ;)

Don't have time to go to the gym? Can't afford food that will help you grow?

Both of these are simply not true. if you want to do something, you will do it.

I will almost gaurantee you can easily find 10 hours a week or more that you could cut down on noon productive things you do. EASILY 10 hours. Watch less t.v, get up a little earlier..

Good calorie dense food is cheap. Oats, potatoes, pasta etc..

Eat more and get in the gym. It really is as simple as that...........

*pretend I just reiterated everything they said*

In addition, get some protein in that diet of yours. Chicken, cottage cheese, milk, tuna, steak.... gotta get the building blocks to grow, and then your body might take advantage of them.

get a notebook and take a record of what you eat and what the food contains this will take you less than 20minutes a day. simply by doing this will you become aware of where you can make improvements

Well, i have to say i was really skeptical about this skinnyguy.net site, but having checked it out i actually like what it has to say. i've not gone over it in depth, but what i saw i liked...except for the guy up top on the homepage....he does not do much to support his theories' case

if you want to get big eat big

here's a link to my journal - it has some diet ideas. nothin fancy, but it works for me:

The BEST thing i ever did to help keep my training in diet in line was to keep a journal. stick with it, it really is a valuable tool
