Hey guys, first time post, hope everyone is cool and all

I blew a great chance yesterday and feel such a moron that I had to get insight into how you would have handled the situation:

I was at the bus stop and a HB7 walks past, I gaze at her and we have a little moment. She stops at the bus stop and looks at the timetable. That very second my bus comes and I get on, she does too. We both head to the top of the deck and she sits on the seat adjacent to mine!
I look at her, she looks at me and we both play it casual. The bus was quite full and she had earphones on so it was not so easy to talk to her and stuff.

My stop comes and I get off, I looked up and could not see her so I assumed she was still on the bus so I preceed to head down the stairs to the tube station. I look back one more time and see her walking down too!!!! I then carry on walking down like an idiot without saying hi or anything but I stop hoping she would pass me but she didn't. She stayed at the entrance "looking at the map" and than went out the exit....

I went back out and could not find her.
I feel like such a mug because I didn't have the balls to do anything.

How would you have handled the situation differently? What could I have said to her after "hi" ...
It is just so nerve-wracking speaking to a stranger, well a hot stranger!

first people with earphones will take them off to talk to you it's normal to be polite
one day a while back i just needed to ask a question about the train to the only girl there (there was only guys around) and she just took them off and we had a little small talk but nothing more (she was living to far from me)
i just came up and ask 'hey i have a question'
so she didn't ear that but i was in front of her so she understood i was here to talk to her
and then i just askesd 'it's been maybe 20minutes i'm here and no train make it clear for me please' and she just explain that they mess all the planing because of something ...

We all know how you feel, these things take time and practice. Look in the djbible for DJBootcamp, the bootcamp is a training course for you to be comfortable with approaching anyone. Like I said, it will take time and practice to get over your fear of approaching girls.

Girls who are interested in you take off their earphones. Yeah, it's just that easy.

Don't sweat it dude. All of us have let these opportunities get away hundreds of times. It's ridiculous isn't it? If we all approached every girl we saw and liked and had the opportunity to talk to we would be drowning in *****. We also would be besieged by rejection after rejection but so what?

Still, in spite of knowing this we are too scared to talk to a pretty girl that can't do anything to hurt us. It's truly amazing.

Thanks for the replies fello DJ's.

AlexDP: It is not always as Black and White as that. I had earphones on too, why would she take her's off if I didn't?

I was not too concerned with this as all her other action implied clearly to me she was interested. I was just a coward doofus and now a AFC because of it!

Yo'Mama: It is amazing and amusing at the same time. How hard can all this really be lol. Society makes things 10x harder for us, perhaps to keep us engaged in an endless battle so that we can focus on only one main thing.

Im alright when a conversation gets going and all.... its just the confidence thing of approaching someone and starting the conversation. Seems so un-natural and creepy. If you were in a bar it seems normal to apparoach a hot stranger, but if your out and about you are not in the right "setting" to do so...
