Well. I have always been told that i snore quite loudly. I didnt really care, because i was sleeping sound, but i know how frustrating it is to try and sleep with a snore orchestra next to you.

I also noticed that since i am using my mouth to breathe, i start drooling on the pillow. Stains=no good.

WHat kind of ways there are to stop a person from snoring/using his mouth to breathe during sleep? I try using my nose, but i dont get enough oxygen, so it becomes very hard.

Sounds like you need to get referred to a sleep clinic. Sleep problems are serious and you should seek out qualified professional help.

I know you can get little strips that go on your nose that keep your nostrils more dialated than usual. Maybe try some flonase if it's allergy related.

that's actually a good thing

i got a friend who sleeps with his mouth open...and snores at thes ame time...wtf, i wonder how much roaches he ate while he was asleep.

and my bro snores too.

but ppl like these i know are usually heavy sleepers which is a good thing!

i am different. i dont snore and im not a heavy sleeper.
half the time, i have trouble sleeping at night. and if i do fall asleep, any kind of noise would wake me up...once that happens i cant fall back asleep. heavy sleepers can usually fall back asleep even if their is noise

I had the same problem! really it is a problem! a sleep clinic can help! I went and they gave me a cpap machine! Yes is looks kinda wierd but it works! no more snoring plus i feel rested now not so tired all the time! and way more energy! females don't trip off of my little machine they like it! and if i don't put it on they often go get it for me to put on! do a search on "cpap" on the net you'll get more info on it! i got mine free with my med insurance!
good luck!

another thing it could be is sleep apnia (sp?) My dad used to snore loud as hell all the time and it would always bother the **** out of my mom. Turns out he had sleep apnia and in some cases he would wake up and have a hard time breathing. Essentially thats what sleep apnia is, its when you stop breathing in your sleep. You could spend a night at the clinic and they would be able to tell you whats it. In my fathers case he would stop breathing 70+ times every time he would sleep.

well on the more serious side sleep apnea causes snoring! nothing else does! and when you get older it can get worse!
I would look into it or at least get a sleep test!!! my unit does not look that bad!! the one you linked would even scare me! LOL
they do have smaller units now! and non of the females i get at care! they like it! and often want to borrow cause it helps you sleep better!

i'd rather females see me wearing it than too let them hear me snore!!!

They love me to wear mine that just means more cheek beatings LOL.:D

You probably have adenoids. They are formations on the back of your throat that block the oxygen intake. Surgical treatment is common.

Go to a shrink.

I snore, don't know if i drool though. Try sleeping on your stomach or side with your mouth closed. I got in the habit of sleeping on my stomach hugging a pillow with my face down (might take some getting used to or some rearranging) and it solved my snoring problem. You snore because the soft pallet of skin in the back of the roof of your mouth vibrates when you breathe with your mouth open (or something like that).
Eliminate how it happens and it won't happen.
