Hey, Im Ben, Im 14 and I got quite a few requests/questions, so some help would be much appreciated. right...

1. Will working out e.g squats, crunches, etc stunt my growth?
2. Am I too young to be working out?
3. Could I have a fitness plan, because that is my ONLY lack of motivation, if I had certain excercises specific to me, and a workout plan, I would have a strict plan to stick to, which would enable me to workout.
4.If I DO start working out to obtain some muscle, should I stop all my cardio activities? I currently do Rugby, and Swimming, and Im thinking of taking up, Kickboxing and Yoga...
5. In addition to a fitness plan, could I have lists of things NOT to eat and things I should be eating, especially to speed my growth rate up, ( I wanna be quite tall:rockon: )

If need be, I'll be happy to post some pictures of my body. i know I'm 14, blah blah, Ill block out face...

4.If I DO start working out to obtain some muscle, should I stop all my cardio activities? I currently do Rugby, and Swimming, and Im thinking of taking up, Kickboxing and Yoga...
YES, THE MORE CARDIO YOU DO THE HARDER IT IS TO GAIN MUSCLE, KEEP IT TO LIGHT CARDIO ONLY (SWIMMING IS OK)
5. In addition to a fitness plan, could I have lists of things NOT to eat and things I should be eating, especially to speed my growth rate up, ( I wanna be quite tall:rockon: )
HOW TALL YOU ARE IS GENETICALLY PREDETERMINED AND YOUR DIET WILL NOT AFFECT THIS HOWEVER GOOD OR BAD IT IS .. SEARCH THIS FORUM FOR TOPICS ON NUTRITION, THERE'S A SHEDLOAD

Cheers, I'll take a look around. I dont really want to quit my rugby team...I enjoy playing rugby, and also, I need to lose about 10-15 pounds of flab.
By the way, I don't have time to eat 5-6 meals a day. Maximum 4??? If that.
Is there anyway I can adapt my food intake guide?

NO

2. Am I too young to be working out?
NO BUT I WOULD START OF SLOW GET YOUR TECHNIQUE SPOT ON

3. Could I have a fitness plan, because that is my ONLY lack of motivation, if I had certain excercises specific to me, and a workout plan, I would have a strict plan to stick to, which would enable me to workout.

http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=125444 ---YOU DON'T NEED TO BE PUTTING ON A LOT OF WEIGHT AT THE MOMENT YOUR BODY WILL DO IT NATURALLY. JUST EAT HEALTHY AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF. DON'T PUSH YOURSELF TO HARD. YOU CAN STILL DO THE FUN STUFF THOUGH.

4.If I DO start working out to obtain some muscle, should I stop all my cardio activities? I currently do Rugby, and Swimming, and Im thinking of taking up, Kickboxing and Yoga...
I WOULDN'T GIVE UP THAT STUFF AT 14, YOU WILL NATURALLY PUT ON MUSCLE ANYWAY BECAUSE OF YOUR AGE, JUST EAT LOTS OF THE GOOD STUFF LIKE BEEF AND EGGS AND YOULL BE FINE NO NEED TO FINE TUNE AT THIS POINT NOT BY A LONG SHOT

5. In addition to a fitness plan, could I have lists of things NOT to eat and things I should be eating, especially to speed my growth rate up, ( I wanna be quite tall:rockon: )
DON'T EAT ANYTHING SUGARY LIKE SWEETS ETC, LIMIT THIS TO ONCE A WEEK LIKE A SATURDAY IF YOU GO THE CINEMA OR SOMETHING. TRY TO AVOID TRANS FATS. THESE ARE THINGS MOST PEOPLE SHOULD BE DOING ANYWAY. JUST EAT ALOT OF EGGS, MEAT, GOOD FAT LIKE OLIVE OIL, TRY AND EAT FISH . BASICALLY HIGH PROTEIN FOODS WITH A GOOD BALANCE OF FAT IS WHAT YOU NEED. AND YES SATURATED FAT FROM THE MEAT AND EGGS IS GOOD. EAT HEALTHIER CARBS LIKE WHOLEMEAL BREADS AND WHOLEMEAL RICE etc OVER THE OTHER VARIETIES.

If need be, I'll be happy to post some pictures of my body. i know I'm 14, blah blah, Ill block out face...
Comments in bold.

Stay away from cereal and milk for breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!! eggs are a far better option.

You could eat 6 meals a day if you planed and packed for it!

What's all the fuss in this section about avoiding milk and cereal? I know that milk was a controversial subject, but now what's wrong with the cereal?! Some cereals have a large variety of vitamins/minerals and they have quite a bit of protein in them as well..

cereal is the worst of refined grains.

of course as a teenager you probably won't notice the difference eating cereal every day, but as in Wolf's case, you might. basically it's a refined carb and is therefore not fit for human consumption. :D

save it for your cheat meals/refeeds.

No they do not!
They have added vitamins and incomplete proteins. They will also screw up your digestion system.

you can get nearly all the micronutrients you need from meat & veggies alone, and there's certainly nothing in cereals (including the whole grain varieties) that you can't get from meat & veggies.

Ok lads, well I'll give you a rough idea of my daily intakes:

Morning: bowl of cereal (usualy oatibix with semi skimmed milk and sugar)

Midday: 1 or 2 white cobs with either cheese, refined meat, or chicken and sweetcorn fill, crisps, little chocolate biscuits, jammy dodgers(minis), and a bunch of other crap...

Just after school: sometimes take in large quanitites of vimto juice or I stuff my face with chocolate, biscuits and crisps.

Teatime: Usually including meat, beans, potato, vegetables, and more stuff.

typical schoolboy diet. tastes good but does jack for muscle growth.

you'll need to be eating 6 times a day with protein in each meal. (I know you said you haven't the time: make the time)

source your protein from beef and eggs and protein powder. to avoid pissing your mum off that teatime meal can be whatever, just make sure you get a double helping of meat/chicken/fish/whatever.

after you've got your protein in eat whatever you want, as long as it's in quantity. :D make sure the majority is clean food but some junk is okay at your age.

Biscuits does not mean cookies. It's anything that's... biscuitish. Could be crackers, could be cookies, could be anything with solid biscuit in. Digestives, hobnobs, etc.

Jammy dodgers... biscuits that have jam in.

Tea is dinner.

And yea how can anyone not know what crisps are? WALKERS man.
