Help Me Create Some Presence

I'm the type of guy that goes unnoticed in a room full of people. The type that people forget the next day after meeting me.

I realize that to be socially successful, I've got to be noticed and known by seemingly normal people (those who work at stores I frequent, colleagues in other branches, etc.) before I can start spreading out.

The question is, how do I do it?

Yea, I used to be exactly the same. Still am as a matter of fact, at least personality wise. I havent worked out how to alter my personality as yet to gain that much attention, but peacocking is certainly a pretty decent quick fix. Just do something different.

I'm guessing peacocking means to stand your hair up. I don't have long hair, so I can't say if this works or not. When I go out, I'm dressed in suits. Majority of the people around me will only have on a dress shirt and slacks. I stand out. I can see heads turn when I walk around, but women still don't walk up to me. As I'm walking by, everybody might compliment me on my suit, but that doesn't mean anything.

If you don't want to go un-noticed the fix is simple. OPEN YOUR MOUTH!! SPEAK UP!! People don't notice the guy who never says anything. If anything, I'm trying to stay away from you hoping that when you start killing people you'll leave me alone. People are worried about the guy who doesn't speak so start opening your mouth and let people know you're alive.

Also, a smile goes a long way. If people perceive you as freindly, then you're a friendly person.

Bottom line. Smile, walk up to people and talk. Simple Good luck

Peacocking means to look different. Wear a pink hat, or odd socks, maybe a spinning bow tie if you always wear suits. That sort of thing. It is something to make people notice you.
