Hi DJs,

I'm really slim. I need to build up. My problem is nutritional,
there are many foods I don't like and don't eat. It's been
many years I'm trying to get a little bigger.

One idea came last night. The people in the army, don't eat
like us (we see in movies they don't eat well) , they do hard
everyday work, etc...

But look at them ! They are far the most build up people.

So my question is how do they do?
How can I do?

help please.

Real army guys are not that built. They are built more than the average population but nothing to brag about.

having been in the army, I can say that the only 'built' guys were genetic mesomorphs who ate anything and everything. but those guys would build muscle mowing lawns and eating the grass cuttings, so...

nvictor, there's no 'shortcut' to gaining weight. you simply have to eat the right foods in the right amounts (as well as train correctly), and the fact that you can't or won't is why you're slim right now, and will stay slim until you start putting the calories in.

tell us what foods you do or don't like and we'll offer some diet suggestions.

I was thinking about this the other day. People in prison always seem to have awesome bodies. Not sure if they are jacked in real life. I think they havfe pretty decent food in most prisons though. I remember hearing it takes a lot of cigarettes to buy a jug of protein.

Put yourself in a situation where you have access to a gym nearly all day, and if you're small you become the wife of a large man named Tiny.

Lets see how fast you become big then :nervous:

Deus ex,
Do you have pictures of what you call pullups, chinups, pushups (I guess it's what we call "pompes" in french) and situps ??

That's sounds interesting.

Eh, I gained about 10 pounds of pure muscle in about 3-4 weeks in Air Force basic training. Right off the bat. Only exercises we did was pullups, chinups, pushups, and situps. That of course excludes pure cardio like running and jumping jacks. I mean, I went from eating whatever I could scrounge up around the house so that I could survive, to eating huge 3 squares a day, with PLENTY of fluids throughout the day.

I think military personnel are generally in better shape because we were FORCED to go to failure, and beyond...constantly. Not only that, but there's never a shortage of food. I mean, you're guaranteed 3 meals a day...even if you f'uck up.
The exact opposite happened to me in Marine Corps boot. Every ounce of muscle I had going in I lost. It took me almost two years to get back. I came out weaker and more pathetic than ever.

Definate over training, food deprivation , and sleep deprivation.

I lost muscle during basic, and then regained it all plus more at school of infantry.

Thats the difference between contracted civilian cooks and army cooks - more food!

were you a skeleton?!
btw I meant army - ration packs're about enough to keep you alive in the field, not enough to gain on
