Lately I can feel a sting in my heart and I have trouble breathing. What could be a cause for this?

Is it because I lift too hard?

Do I not do enough cardio?

Is it because I'm growing?

Help pls.

Dude, when I was about 16, I had trouble breathing.
I just didn't get that invigorating 'rush' from a deep breath that I used to have.
This went on for a while, maybe six months, then I went to the doctors about it.
I hate doctors and hospitals, and probably because of this, the doctor read my heart rate at about 140bpm.
I was sent to hospital, they took an x-ray and a cardiogram and was released the next day with nothing the matter.
I've never felt that invigoration from a deep breath since.
But I've got used to it now so I don't notice it anymore.
Wierd huh?

Why are you even bothering to ask here? If you're experiencing symptoms like that you should see a doctor ASAP. Don't mess around with your heart. The week before last I came home from the gym and a couple of hours later had some trouble in my chest so I went to the doctor. Although I wasn't presenting with any symtpoms of a heart attack they didn't like it anyway. When talking to the doctor I speculated it might have been from varying my routine a little but then she asked me how long I had been working out. When I said since last January she told me the chest pains couldn't have been caused by exercise adding that I am in good shape physically. So they ran tests and it turned out that I had a cold. All the same they said I was right to go in because you never mess around with your heart. You should go in to get yourself checked.

It's pretty rare for 18 year olds to have heart problems -

Does it only hurt when you breathe?

What does the pain feel like?

Does it radiate out anywhere?

What were you doing when the pain started?

Does anything make it better or worse?

Did you take any caffeine or stimulants?

As a paramedic I've have yet to encounter a teenager with actual heart problems. The last call I had like this was an 18 year old kid with a fast heart rate. (140bpm) As soon as we got him away from his parents he confessed to taking an Adderol before going to work out...

Basically what I'm trying to say is you're probably fine. If it continues go see a doc.
