Matter of fact, yes.
It's nice to be able to see a resume before you move in

I use it only for business, but there was this woman that I worked with and she left the company. After a few months, I contacted her.

Regarding the similarity, now that you mention it, there are quite a few similarities. I recently got a notification because one of my business contacts got a "like" on his photograph.

WTF? That goes out to hundreds of your contacts potentially.

I haven't, but have often thought of it. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has worked LI socially. One advantage would be that you can salvage business relationships out of it..."don't wanna f me? well then buy a gross of my widgets, least you can do!" LOL.
