Please take this for whatever you like, but from someone who has been left utterly confused by the behaviour of you guys, you can save yourself a lot of $hit.
Be Honest.

My last guy was a head trip. Casually dated for two months. Saw each other maybe once every week and a half. Both of us adamant about not having a relationship.
A quirky little bond formed. People mistook us for being married. Always drove me home after we spent some time together. Then went weird on me for reasons that I'll never really know. Accused me of stalking him and not having respect for his boundaries. But still let me shower at his house when I had no hot water.
Instead of standing up for me when some jerk was hassling me at the local bar, told me that I would be better off going with him and then flirted with anything that moved in front of me for the rest of the night.
Then acted all worried when I told him that I was undergoing tests for cancer.
I bumped into him at the local mall about a month and a half after we first met. After having some coffee, he took me home and said that I deserved more than what he could give me and that I should get a boyfriend that I could depend on.
????? As far as I was concerned, I only used the term boyfriend to describe him to others because bonk buddy is rather crude.
Bottom line, if you are someone else's man, still in love with your ex, not really interested, planning on dumping her when she finished stroking your ego, whatever MAINTAIN THE HONESTY. Word gets around about honest guys just as much as it does about jerks. You'll also save yourself her driving you mad with 50 phone calls, e-mails etc trying to find out why you dumped her.

Let's not have a double standard here, Shorty! This advice on this great post applies to you and other women, as well as us.

I've had girls who dated me when they only wanted their ego stroked, a boy-toy, or they weren't over their ex yet. As well as using me for entertainment, because they were bored, or just sick of being alone. So, this isn't just something that guys do.

Now, thanks to this site and some painful experience, I can usually weed out women like this.

But, overall, I agree that it's wrong to allow someone to get too serious about you when you have no intention (or ability) to get serious about them. Try not to lead people on when you can't or won't love them. People have enough baggage. Don't be one to add to it.

Oh Hon I realise that not ALL men are like this. I also know that there are girls out there who are exactly the same. Major control freaks who are such sad creatures that THEY can't even stand their own company, therefore inflicting their misery onto others.

I simply wanted to relate that honesty will take you far. Some guys don't get this because they are too blinded by their own ego's telling all their mates about thier latest stalker or whatever.
When she's looking back at you down the track, she'll remember that you were honest enough to pull her aside and tell her that things are not going to work.I'd rather have that kind of rep as opposed to one that involves the words "lying, back-stabbing,two faced B*****d.
