tough break.
maybe keep sarging to fancy dress parties where you can be a pirate?
..bit mean..

i'd say go to the doctors and find out if it can be correct? - i have no idea? -i assume you would have already tried that aswell?

otherwise, you must accept that its something you have, and deal with it the best you can.

I have bad teeth and all my life i tried to avoid smiling, so i'm going through a similar problem.

Did you ever see the Family Guy episode where Stewie was in a dancing class with this really bratty girl who said in front of the class "Sorry Stewie, you're the weakest link, bye-bye."

Well Stewie in a sincere yet sarcastic tone said something like "Wow, you really got me. I mean you really went there, you took a overused television catchphrase and used it in normal conversation. 'You're the weakest link!' Ha-ha that is really good, I mean everyone thought that phrase was dead and gone but you brought it back! And you were able to do that all by yourself, wow. 'You're the weakest link, bye-bye!' Good stuff...."

Get where I'm going? Yeah, it's pretty fvcking obvious that you have a lazy eye, so what??!!! You have that attitude while making the @sshole look like 'Captain Obvious.' ;)

you don't think coming off so defensive is being insecure?

also, those kind of long winded retorts seem to fall apart (although, I think you're talking more about the general message rather then what was said.)

I think its a very hard one. and you really need someone whos been in a similar situation and can give the best answer here. I don't know it.

Do you mean a lazy eye as in, your eyelid droops a little, or is it one of those cases where one eye is kinda looking off to the side?

If it's the latter, can you tell me how those people see? Do you see in two directions at once? Don't mean to be rude, I've just never had the balls to ask someone in real life what they see when they're looking in 2 different directions.

Listen here big chumpin...why are you so insecure about this?! I'm sure that it's nothing! It just makes you stand out from the crowd and if you make some jokes (some funny ones) then you'll get noticed by girls and you show them that you are so secure and confident about yourself that you can even make jokes and laugh about you.

P.S. Learn how to spell.

do you mean amblyopia thats what i have. alot of times its called lazy eye its where when you where little you looked at things with one eye most of the time and so your brain slowly stops using the other one. Thats how my right eye is but when i look at things my eyes both look at the person or whatnot? so you must mean something else. unless yours is more severe then mine. either way it does suck my visions 20/20 20/25

What about Columbo impressions? I guess no one watches him any more, no one would understand.

In terms of dealing with the haters, I think a better example than the Stewie example is from the movie Roxanne, where Steve Martin has a shnaz the size of a Buick. This guy says to him, "Hey-ya big nose!" and he's like, "Big nose? That's the best you can come up with? Big nose? I'll bet you $50 I can come up with 20 better insults about my nose than 'Big nose,'" and he does and it's really funny.

Just have a sense of humor about it. If haters sense you are uptight, that's like an invitation to bug you. So stay chill! Make a joke that even though you have double the field of vision, you still can't see around their fat head.

Man, I wish I could come up with comebacks like that when I need them.

But yeah, I feel you. I have pectus excavatum, a dent in my chest, and sometimes I'm self-conscious about it, but it's a very convenient place to hold Skittles, or a woman's breast if she's laying on me. ;)

Don't worry about it. I have a very slight lazy eye (but it gets real noticable after I've been drinking). I've never had anyone say a word about it unless I've previously mentioned it to them, and we both just laugh about it cuz it's kind of funny. No one's perfect, just accept it and move on.

Oh, that might be a little different than me. I just have one eye that is a little more open than the other. Still not that noticable until I drink, then I have one eye open, and the other looks kind of like your eyes look when you're high (aka chinese eyes . . . no racial implications). Still, nothing you can't get over. Look at David X. The guy is considered a mPUA and he had all kinds of scarring and other cosmetic disfigurements.
