There are quite a few grams of protein. But I wouldn't eat hard boiled eggs due to the amount of hazmat gases which spew out of my ass after eating them.

When I first started watching what I ate and went low carb I remember eating a half dozen or so hard boiled eggs and then I went to the gym. After I warmed up I went to the squat rack. Got through my first set with no problem. Secong set is up and I'm on my fourth or fifth rep and I'm squeeeeeezing my glutes and hams to get the weight up and I blow out the loudest, stinkiest fart ever. It smelled like pickled feet and sweaty shoe.

Since then no more hard boiled eggs for me.

I've never had any trouble with eggs...work your way up, don't try to eat a half dozen a day if you've never had them before. And most of the sulfur in eggs comes from the yolk.

as for the protein quantities:

http://www.enc-online.org/pdf/FactSheets/Egg Protein.pdf

A large egg provides 6 grams of protein. Protein content of egg white=3.6g, protein content of egg yolk=2.7g.

Cooked eggs are significantly more digestible than raw eggs.

That's one point we'll disagree on, but as long as you're eating eggs somehow, then the cooked/raw argument is trivial. lol.

Large eggs over here are 8-9g of protein.. good stuff.

Is large just normal Large or Very Large? I was well happy when Sainsburys brought in the Very Large...now if they'd only do them in 12 packs.

I sometimes drink 4 raw, organic free range eggs in the morning to get the anabolic effect of the arachidonic acid. Just gotta be careful to check they smell, roll and spin ok etc.

simon, just the regular 'large' eggs (about 70g in weight apiece) from Iceland (15 for a pound there but of course not organic) or wherever..
