Here's the ultimate challenge. "Running" across somebody who catches your eye,,,,in a public situation. You've got, like, ten seconds to inititiate convo, and somehow grab a number.
Typical encounters: Grocery stores, convenience stores, post office, buying gas, or even tougher,,,,walking down the street.
Here's a few ways i handle it:
1. The ****y/Funny/Goofy Stab. Hey, youve got nothing to lose. I personally prefer the goofy stab, cause it attracts smart women.
"Are you as smart as you look?" Is one i like, because it throws down a challenge in a harmless way.
2. The familiarity thing. "Don't you work out at Golds?" Even if she doesn't she might blurt out where she DOES work out, or work, etc.
3. The EXCUSE. Ask for help. Directions. Time. A woman's opinion. Shere she bought her watch.
4. The CONFESSOR. Handle with care, but in desperation, this one might earn you points. You should start it harmlessly but honestly. "This is going to sound stalker-like, but there's something fascinating about you that captured my attention. Can you tell me what it is?" Youre admitting right out that you have no opening line, but that you want to talk. You get points for charm and courage.
5. The desperation. The timing isnt right and you just dont have the energy for the bold approach, so you talk to one of her friends. The idea is to seem sincere and solid. People love to be asked for HELP.
"This might sound lame, but your friend seems incredibly cool. Can you tell me something about her,, does she have a boyfriend"?
