I've got hair receding from the front and from both sides. My hair and scalp is dry & I'm 30. I irregularly use shampoo Pantene Pro-V or Head & Shoulder once a week but I found shampoos contribute more to the hair loss.

Everyday when I shower I see lots of hair going down the drain. It's not genetic as both my parents have head full of hair & my grand-parents too.

I been thinking of using Rogaine or should I see a doctor? Anyone used Rogaine have any recommendations? Does it help with hair growth?

Thanks.

This doesn't mean it's not genetic.

Sounds like 100% typical male pattern baldness (sorry). Go to your doctor if you're that worried about it, though.

Otherwise, start shaving all that **** off, or at very least keeping it really short (think Bruce Willis). Girls can see a combover from about 10kms away.

mine is goin and im only 21 but ive never noticed any hair falling out in shower, or found any on my pillow. Ive always known i'd go bald though its genetic and I started going at the temples when I was like 12 lol...I just keep my hair a few inches long and shaven number 2 on back and sides looks ok to me...Ive tried shaving my head but every one said I look better with hair, even though in a few years Ill have no choice but to shave it.

my brother who is a few years older than me is the same, but i used to notice his hair falling out, the thing is though hes really thin like waffer at the front, but doesnt shave his hair in the back or sides, it looks proper back heavy...depends how bad your going though, I think you can get away with so much, but after a certain point it just looks silly to keep it

Hey Dude, Dont let it get you down. Try visiting the website www.hairlosshelp.com, theres some good info in here. From what i read i think that proscar (finistride) and maybe some nizoril shampoo should help stop thje receading for now. Anyway who cares, by the time we are 35 there will surely be a cure ;)

i had the same problem as you about last summer....my hair was falling off from the front like crazy and there was an obvious recession in my front hairline...it was fcukin depressing because receding hairlines also dont run in my family and i presonally dont like the 'new look'. I think what greatly contributed to it was intense stress over a chick(I know it was an AFC prob). So im pretty much with you on this thread. Is there any way itll grow back to its normal pattern???

did anyone mention that Rogaine is only useful for baldness in the BACK OF YOUR SCALP?

It's not going to work on the front. The frontal scalp is the hardest place to regrow hair besides transplants.

Thats pure myth. The ONLY reason they say its for the back is because the FDA studies ONLY tested it on the back so they are not legally allowed to say its effective on the front.

Hair is hair - its all the same. Some people lose the crown first and keep the hairline intact others hairline first and crown stays good.
