My gym has put up 8 challenges and I currently hold 4 of the gym records. So I am going to see if I can take all of them, considering I like competition and it's a good way to get my fitness up seeing I have something to aim for. I have also put some own fitness challenges down there as well. I will list them below. If you guys have any tips or advice on how to get my speed or reps up on these, i'd appreciate it. Really finding the pulls up hard, my wrists give in quite quickly, which probs makes rowing harder too.

Btw i'm sure for some of you guys the records may not be as high as you would think they should be.... just yet, but i'm sure they will get higher and harder to beat.

Push Up challenge: (Do as many as possible without stopping good form, full push ups)

Record+Rushing Dude: 110

Pull Up challenge: (Do as many as possible without stopping good form, full pull ups)

Record:27 (wide grip)

ughh, that record is serious beast

Rushing dude: 15 (Medium grip), I am not going to try and beat that on wide btw.

Tricep Dips (Do as many as possible without stopping (good form, full Tricep dips)

Record + Rushing dude: 67 ( I had to train very hard for that)

Squats(Do as many as possible without stopping, good form, full squats using only body weight)

Rushing Dude + record: 634 (Could of done more, but I think that is safe unless someone has a lot of time on their hands)

Plank (Do as long as possible without stopping & good form.

Record: 6:36 minutes

Rushing dude: 4:56 minutes

I think this one is just practise + a lot of will power

Treadmill (Run 2km as fast as you can)

Record: I think 6mins something, i know the person just ran it on full speed (19.3km/hr).

So I am going have to do the same, but maybe with 1% incline.

I can probs run this on 16.5km/hr at the moment

Rower (2km as fast as you can)

Record: 7:06

Rushing dude: 7:12

Jeez it's really really hard to knock off seconds on this one, I think I am too optimistic and I am on a 6:40 pace halfway and then I drop and lose all my time. This record is something that I should beat, but I can't believe I can't beat it, the WR is 5minutes 36 seconds.

Cycle (3km cycle as fast as possible)

Rushing dude + Record: 4 minutes 37 seconds

Other challenges

Bench Press:

Goal: 100kg (220lbs) x 10

Current: 80kg (176lbs) x6 That's on a good prep day

Seated Row: (neutral grip)

Goal: Full stack 100kg (220lbs) x 6 (full range of motion)

Current: 80kg (176lbs) x 6 (80-85% of motion)

Marathon:

Goal: 2hrs 59 minutes

Current: 4hrs 30 minutes ( I was able to keep the 3 hour 30 pace halfway, but my legs gave in after, mismeasured it.)

Complete a Triathelon

In reasonable time.

400m Track

Goal: 49 seconds

Current: 59 seconds

Man, there are ways of kipping pull ups which are virtually undetectable. If you just sneak in a subtle kip each rep you could blast those 27 pull ups out of the water... you could do 40.

Try doing elevated planks with multiple plates on your back. Once you go back to doing normal planks you can pretty much hold them forever. I currently am doing elevated planks(feet on bench) with 140 lbs on the lower part of my back and holding for between 30-45 seconds...abs feel like they are going to rip out of my body but I add 5-10 lbs each time. Tried normal planks the other day and literally could have probably held it for 10 minutes. When I first started planks about 8 months ago I could barely hold a normal plank for 30 seconds...Obviously don't start with that kind of weight right away, try starting with 25 lbs and go from there...
