As a recent graduate, here are some awesome part-time jobs. Don't work at fast-food or any of that crap. Pick a job of this list and earn more than 3x as much in some cases. All are at least above minimum wage and the less well paying ones have perks.

1-Casual Grounds keeper. Your school or a regional school may be looking for one during the holidays. In Aus the pay is around $20 an hour and the work is super easy.

2-Ticketing at the races. Anywhere with horse races hires extra staff of the holidays. Hiring is often nepotism, but the pay is amazing- about $30 an hour plus bonuses.

3-Food stands for events. The pay rate is usually average at best, but most places have a sellout bonus. The place I worked at doubled the days earnings if we sold out before close.

4-Photographer/DJ for a party. You get paid $100-300 a night doing it here and the perks are obvious... So many hot girls will get with you for a good photo or their favourite song. In High school, it doesn't matter if you get your **** sucked while working a job. It isn't unprofessional if it's a high school party, it's expected.
NOTE 1: DO NOT TRY AND WORK AS SECURITY WITHOUT A LICENSE! YOU CAN BE FINED IN EXCESS OF 10K!
NOTE 2: Wedding photographers/Musicians get paid even better again. Look into it. You have to be very responsible though.

5-Clerical work for lawyers/doctors/real estate agents/accountants/etc. They'll often let you set your own pay rate (they're usually rich) and I set mine at nearly twice minimum wage with no issue. Extremely boring work, but valuable experience for taxes etc.

6-Sales. You have to be persuasive, but if you are you can easily earn more than minimum wage.

7-Music tutor. If you can play an instrument, you can get paid to teach the basics of it. Pay is good, if you work for a company its still better than average and you get guaranteed hours.

8-Language tutor. Same thing. Benefit, girls love language. In fact, any tutor is possible. Just pick the subject you're best at/\with the most demand.

9-House minder. This one is more for uni students, but the work is super easy- water plants, feed pets- and the pay is good. Looking at $20-40 a day for 10 minutes of work and 23 hours 50 minutes of having a house all to yourself. They won't hire a guy on their own though, so apply with a girl as a couple or don't expect a callback.

10-Another one for uni students is fundraising. They pay is iffy, usually minimum wage... But you're working for a cause! Or, more importantly, if you are persuasive the rewards structure is good. Ha. It's like a safer sales job because the commission is less but the pay rate default is higher.

11-Referee for junior sports (or senior if you look older). This one is awesome. 4 hours a day outside MAX and I get paid $120. I just stand around and make calls... The other one I do is $27 an hour, with great hours (6pm-9pm or 5pm-8pm) for working around study.

12-Advertising for small business. Popular Facebook account (or better, page)? You can't expect to get paid much, but some small businesses will pay for a mention in a status or photo. I got paid $50 as a one off, was a very easy $50.

13-Working at a hardware store/sports store. Because they're specialty they pay more. If you're a chick, look at fashion outlets- particularly trendy/high end ones are looking for less staff who look good. So, they pay good for it.

14-Meals on wheels. Sort of like the pizza job except better pay and less risky. Probably the lowest pay on this list.

15- Lifeguard. Good pay and fun. You work at a pool, sometimes in the sun. Lots of girls in bikinis. Exercises. Fun.

16- Uni students only; bar-tending. Fun in an engaging way, good pay and the perk of girls occasionally throwing themselves at you.

17- Catalogue delivery. Paper delivery is lucky to be minimum wage. Catalogue delivery can be a whole different ball park. You get paid to walk around and drop off magazines, often only just above minimum wage BUT the pay can be 2-3x that if you combine it with:

18- Dog walking. People will pay you to walk their dogs if they're overworked. Apply with neighbours. Pay is usually good because people love their dogs. Expect minimum wage, but if they're rich and dog people... Expect double. Fit dogs are fun because you can run with them and usually the owner will really appreciate you doing it.

Add to the list if you want these are just the best ones I know of.

My sister works in phonesales whenever she's off uni. She's the best in her department in norway, mind, fresh out of high school. She made almost 12 thousand dollars in 3 months.

I work as a fundraiser, and I can defenitely suggest it to you guys. For everyone with approach anxiety; you HAVE to approach people in order to make money. Everyday I work I approach about 150 people. I have about 50 nice chats, so for everyone struggling with talking to people or approaching them; this works man! Oh, and if you're good at it you can get paid about 10 to 20x the minimum wage.

One of my favorites is buying and selling. I buy wholesale goods and ship them from china to the US for extremely cheap prices. I do iphone cases. You can get quality life proof, water proof, shock and dust proof cases for ten dollars and sell them back on eBay for 20-50. The ones in store are the exact same but are marked at around 70-100 dollars. It's a great way to bring in cash. What you must know is this: you're gonna fail. Keep going. Don't stop, nothing is linear. But you will get there, and it won't be as quick as you think. Success isn't overnight, true success that is.

I work at a local grocery store in produce and I love it. I'm making decisions based on market factors and constantly working with merchandising. The work is also physical so if you can handle lifting 40lb boxes of bananas you could easily build some decent muscle while you're working. Pay isn't too good but everyone's gotta start somewhere.
