I think it is more *wise* to have a topic for her to guess on, you look pretty stupid saying guess what than getting her to guess at anything possible. It would be more wise if it was a topic especcially if that topic were something u wanted to get her to think about
this is a technique i have used in the past except not as broad and as stupid as your but something along the lines of
"Hey I have never noticed that about you before...it seems interesting"

and she will try to get into something along those lines as well as give off info on how she precives herself *good to know if she thinks she is beautiful, not good looking, humourous.... happy sad and what not*
