Ok today i needed to go to the bank and instead of driving into the city i would take a stroll through a nearby council estate, project, bumtown or whatever you want to call it which i used to live in btw.

Anyways as i was walking through i and noticed that every drive way had a flash car like a bmw or merc and about 90% of the people had designer clothes.

And i was thinking what a load of sh1t socialism is cos' i live in a middle class neighborhood because my mum worked hard to get a good house and we get taxed through the ****ing ears because of those ****ing leftist politicians and public always go on about how we should help those "poorer" people in society. Even though they piss their benifits on crap and because they choose not to save money everyone else has to pick up the tab.

We have a graduated tax system and those rich folks you refer to pay the most taxes. So if they can still afford the cars and the clothes, then the taxes must not be that bad.

Im mad at the "poor" people who get tons of welfare and free everything etc because they live in a council house and because they throw their money away on crap instead of saving/investing it. And then the middle class being told to cough up more to help these poor souls boohoo.

I hear what you're saying. We're supposed to be the greatest nation in the world at least when it comes to the amount of opportunities available and few capitalize on it. At least few naturally born citizens, immigrants definitely capitalize on it. I can't hate on them for it, it's [opportunity] there for the taking.

The "rich" most people refer to are actually the upper middle class, usually people whose income is derived from a job or self employment. These folks might have high income but don't necessarily have control of assets which would allow them to pay less in taxes.

Those who are TRULY rich pay LESS because they have the ability to optimize tax laws to their advantage.

Exactly, my grandad was an immigrant too he got here without 2pence to rub together, and he came up after years of bustin his ass now hes retired and well off and then thier are loads of people (some of my friends included) who would actually rather "live in da ghetto" so to speak and waste their cash buying usless toys like the latest 50in plasma tellybox then wonder why thier broke all the time then think im a middle class brat just cos' i save my money and use it for far more interestin stuff like travelling when in reality im probably not richer than the just wiser.

g g g ... i hear you loud and clear.
i manage section 8 apartments and i get sick of seeing some of the things i do.
don't get me wrong, based on income rent helps lots of folks that need it BUT when you see the ones who take advantage of the system..it makes you want to vomit.
some handicapped person who needs help, does not upset me.
some elderly old person does not upset me.
some single parent wanting to not work just for a bit while the see their kid thru diapers does not even upset me.
its the "i just don't want a job" crowd, that are perfectly capable of having the same kind of job as i do, that sit on their butts to collect food stamps and free rent and hide some felon baby daddy out in their house... piss me off.

its the ones that have brand freggin new cars while the government pays their rent and electricity that bug the crap outta me.
