I never thought of this before, but I decided to grow a beard. Reason being that I have lots of acne scarring on my cheeks and it never popped into my head that a short, well-trimmed beard could probably cover that up very nicely. Not to mention, I'm VERY curious as to how a beard would look on me in the first place.

I'm gonna keep it short (I'm not going for the Kris Kringle look), so probably will keep it trimmed to maybe 3/4 inches long or something. Since I just decided I probably have a good two to three months before it comes in nice and thick.

Anyone else got 'em/had 'em? How'd you feel about it?

I know the ladies are probably split on facial hair (since everyone likes their own thing), but I figure as long as I keep it neat it shouldn't hurt my chances.

I have a beard. I shave my neck and jawline twice a week. There are a lot of websites devoted to beards on the internet that will give you tips.

The only tips I have is to shampoo and comb your beard at least once a day.

Also your face may break out or itch while you're growing your beard. Just be persistant and it will go away after a while.
