Hey all what causes this? My girlfriend does it sometimes when sleeping, its has only started happening not long ago.

Its pretty loud, and i can actually see her bottom jaw move side to side.

Is there any ways to stop this?

thanks

It's called a Polar Bite Plane. My dentist informed me that I grind my teeth and he said he should make me one of these. It ended up costing $350 and it's this big retainer like device that let's you grind all you want but it doesn't mess up your teeth.

sometimes stress related. I have this too, and it is causing some minor tooth decay issues.

or you could go to a sports equipment store, pick up a $3 mouthguard, and have the same result. If it has a strap on it (to attach to a football helmet), just cut the strap off. Follow the directions to form it to her mouth. You just need one for the top.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
