What man do you admire most? Who has lived, or is currently living his life the right way? A life full of honor, courage, dignity, genius, etc....
I've decided to start reading biographies of great men. Such a multitude of people have existed on this planet: were born, lived their lives, and died, and only a select few have probably really done it right; that is, took what they had and did something special with it. It seems logical that we can learn from the lives of such men.
Let's get a list going. Please write something brief about why you are nominating this person.
Personally, I admire Theodore Roosevelt. He went from a pale, sickly child to a law student, an ornithologist, a rising politician, a rancher, a prodigious writer, a NYC police commissioner, a Naval Secretary, a soldier (he led the Rough Riders when he was a very prominent politician - unheard of even in those days), a Governor, a Vice President, to finally the youngest President in the history of the United States.
He was the ultimate Man. He was an great intellectual who represented all of the best masculine virtues.
There are tons of TR stories that I could post as examples of his greatness, but I'll let you explore them yourself.
