No, this isn't a thread about STDs lol.

I've never been a big fan of Jerry Lee Lewis, I've always preferred more guitar based rock. But I was watching these videos the other day and I have to say they are pretty good examples of the energy in early rock and roll. Sorry for the blast from the past, but watch them if you have the patience.

First is Jerry Lee Lewis himself, performing live. The intensity from 0:42 to 0:55 is pretty amazing. The "special effects" amuse me - early precursor to KISS, I guess, lol. Also, note that this song is completely about sex.

Secondly, here's a kid doing a cover of the same song. He really catches the spirit of it, one of the best covers I've ever seen on YouTube. Tell me this guy couldn't get laid after this! If you could capture the "state" and attitude of this guy, you'd have no problem with women I bet:

Lastly, here's a clip from the movie of the same name, with Dennis Quaid playing Lewis. I include it just because of the amusing interchange between him and Chuck Berry.

Okay, I was admittedly up pretty late when I posted this, but yeah, that dude is flipping out. You don't think he would get laid after a performance like that, moldy oldie or not? He was definitely displaying a lot of emotion, I don't think he was holding anything back.

yeah get laid by a few flaming homosexuals
Man, that's harsh.
But those weren't flaming homosexuals leaning on his piano!

Anyway, it took me over 50 years to appreciate Jerry Lee Lewis' "artistry" pr whatever it is. Can't expect any of you young whippersnappers to understand it.

One thing about Jerry Lee Lewis, that is one guy who did not age well.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Chuck Berry had his guitar, Little Richard his voice, Buddy Holly his songwriting and Elvis was Elvis but if you ask me there is nobody who was more rock and roll than this guy. Ever. Crazy as hell too look in his eyes. Like a shark.

Check out his songs recorded live at the Star Club in Hamburg Germany back in 1964 on youtube.

Last one standing. Elvis, Cash, and Perkins are all gone. Who would've ever though JLL would be the last one alive?

Good point, Fair Shake, who would have suspected it?

Another thing: Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard were probably the main real piano men in rock and roll, all the way up until Elton John showed up.

I'm with Zecko on this. Guys that can playfully express their emotions with no fear can get laid more than anybody else.

I've known a few guys like that. No looks, no money, but ALWAYS completely fearless with their emotions, and ALWAYS banging hotties.
