So I'll have my degree at the end of this semester. However. My marks are terrible. Probably about a 60 average. And the degree which I'm doing is terrible. Bacheleor of Technology (Computer Studies). We dabble in Computer Systems Engineering/Telecommunications Engineering/Electronic Engineering/Information Technology. But we do not concentrate on any one subject.
Also, its a 3 year degree, while most (all?) of those others are 4 year degrees.
As a result of the above. I'm terrified about getting work.

-Has anyone had similar experiences? How did it work out?
-Is anyone in a hiring position? How could I be so different that all of my downfalls could be overlooked?
-Is plowing the best option? Go for job, after job, after job until I can finally get one?

The other thing I am considering is going for a job in the defence force. There are many jobs there which start on good money and I do qualify for, aswell as meeting the physical requirements easily. However, this would seriously hinder my PUA for some time.
But I assume I would become FAR more employable afterwoods - whilst earning and saving alot of money.

-Defence force experiences? Graduate entry specifically.

PS. If anyone is intrested in hiring me. :) I'm happy to travel.

Dude I am in the same situation, I am graduating next year and my avg. is a C+, and I don't have any extracurricular activities on my resume. My plan is to just apply to many many jobs and then see what comes up. Some companies don't care too much about your GPA. The grades you get in college only follow you for your first job (or so I hope). After that it hinges on your work and graduate school. Good luck.

Apply EVERYWHERE regardless of how poor of a candidate you think you may be. Worse comes to worse offer to work for free until you build the experience. Then base your resume on your experience rather than grades.

It won't come down to having to work for free. I'm sure. I guess the apply for everything will work.. possibly straight away? I am VERY presentable, and have VERY good communication skills.

Thanks for the advice. The more the better.

Personal experiences would be great to.
