Hey guys,

The other PM I stopped in a local bar and started conversing with my Ex GF's best friend. Keep in mind that we have been split for several yrs now and are on good terms. I subtly brought up as to why my ex gave me the pink slip. The ex's girlfriend said something along the lines of "you were too perfect, You are nice looking, muscles, have no kids, never married, make good $$, clean etc. You have NO issues. Natilie (the ex) didn't know what to make of you. So she split"

Anyone here ever heard of such a f**ked up thing? Low self esteem woman?

Been there. You having your sh1t together can make another person feel, "D@mn, how can I keep up with that???" It can be overwhelming for some. Understand that a lot of women thrive on the rush of having drama in their lives. You having none may have been thought of as unnatural.

It stinks but it's just the way that it can be some of the time. Just consider yourself lucky that you weren't stuck in a situation that may have been extremely lop-sided.

Her friend was telling you that because she wanted to get into your panties.

Yea I thought of that..some women like the "fix me uppers" as in houses. The thought of not having a project to work on leaves them w/an empty feeling. It make me feel like I'm boring or something--even though I know thats not true

The people who complain about perfection need to be smacked. Or hit with a baseball bat would be nice too.

"Perfect" is a subjective value judgement and doesn't really exist in the world. It sounds like she was an insecure beotch who coudln't handle someone that was actually stable.

Please, don't start forming flaws (because you probably already have some and your chick just didn't see them) just becuase someone whines about perfection.

Yea I hear ya Bro--I have flaws, I just don't let them surface too much. I have confidence, but am far from the P word.

Ever hear of the saying "If it looks to good to be true, it is"?

You're sitting at you desk opeing your mail and you come across this envelope that says "Free trip for two to Europe." What's the first thing you think?

a) Kick ass, I am going to Euope.

Or

b) Yeah right.

Put the shoe on the other foot. You meet a beautiful 38 year old woman. She's smart, has no kids, never been married, got everything going for her, etc... What do you think? Personally I start to think, "What is wrong with her that she's as beautiful as she is yet she has never been married and doesn't have kids?" Yeah, that's a bit shallow, but it's something that crosses the mind. Not much different then thinking, "Where's the catch with this free trip to Europe?"

Anyway, good luck man.

Something along these lines....

My car is too nice and reliable. I think I'll trade it in for an old rusty clunker.

or

My job is great too. Great pay, benefits, low stress. I think I'm going to quit and see if I can find something that pays less and has alot more responsiblity.

Its stupid yes. I had an ex give me something along these lines as well. It didn't make sense to me either but something tells me that she'll be regretting that decision for quite some time.

Yea I know humans are perverse and all. Hell, if Britney Spears pointed at me during one of her shows, says "I want him" and procedes to bone me for the next 4 hours, I'd be on it!!:) :D

Perfect=too nice. You know the deal already.

Perfect is wonderful but boring. Why do so many women go out with "bad boys" who are far from perfect? They are exciting.

That's all there is to it

Naw, I am a nice guy, but far far from being "too nice" Intresting enough, since I'm a reformed nice guy, back in the 80's, when I was nice, I seemed to get putang all the time. Go figure!

Actually this gal I was posting about frequently called me "jackass" due to my ****iness, and she said I slipped one night and told her I cheated on every girlfriend I ever had. (maybe not EVERY one, but close!!). I think my college education made her feel intimidated at times (she had a HS diploma). Theres prob. my fault--my confindence level maybe too much for some low esteem women. I've been called a **** by quite a few women too, so not the nice guy image.

Now I think about it, this gals goes thru men like I go thru gallons of milk. She stays w/them for short time and moves on. I'd say it her, not me. But thanks for input!

I have been through the same situations. In almost every case the girl had LSE.

Sometimes, when confronted with a superior man or a guy who seems to have his shyt together, a girl will not want to deal with it and will choose to be with a garden variety male (often a loser) who she can control and feel comfortable with.

Like you said, the problem is her not you.
