Good use of a neg hit... proud of myself

today was my second day at a new job on campus. there are way over two hundred employees. i caught this really cute freshman (coworker/HB8) checking me out. she looked away embarrased when i smiled at her. our supervisor said something. blah blah i don't remember what but it gave an opening for us to chat. just normal chit chat but she was distant at first.
me"I really like your pants"
HB8: Really?!
me"yeah, my little brother has some just like them"
HB8: (with a smile that quickly became a confused look) "uh thanks, i guess"

after that i asked for her name we chatted without the least bit of resistance on her part.
At the meeting after work i even joked about her getting me a bottle of water they had out. She got up and got it for me! we chatted through the meeting and i kept a challenge making chat with other girls too. however i decided not to # close yet, seeing as i will be working next to her alot, and i want to see where i stand with other girls there without getting a rep by jumping on the first chick i talk to. Besides, the meeting was about Sexual harrasment and i thought it better that i wait untill that topic was no longer fresh on her mind.

Why did you neg her? Neg hits are for girls with b1tch shields up - you didn't even try aproaching her before giving her that one. I don't think you did any damage with her, but be careful with neghits or you could put women off.

Too often DJ's here seem to have a misconception about neghits.
In all my 2-3 years of DJ career I have only used Neghits on few occasion. I get the impression that too often too many DJ's get the idea that neghits are an essence of being DJ. Dude neghits are just a tool to crack that bit@h shield. Be carefull with it, if used under the wrong circumstances you could really hurt someone feeling. Which also means no puzzy for u m8.

That wasn't the first thing i said to her. i said in my post 'just normal chit chat but she was distant at first. ' what i meant by that was she wasn't talking much, almost *****y but i wouldn't go so far as too call her that. After that i used the neg hit. maybe it wasn't clear how i typed it. context i guess

the more i think of it, the more that Sexual Harrasment Meeting pisses me off.

That is the second job where one of these meetings has ****blocked me. they did skits and everything.

It IS a good neghit, though, because it's a compliment, but at the same time, it's not supplicating, it doesn't necessarily reveal romantic interest because it ties back to the brother, and it's something that can be taken either way.
