My shoe collection consists of all sneakers , such as Converse, Nike and 1 black Shoe. It's a Brockport.

Can anyone recommend me some good shoes to wear for casual fun and one for a job interview? Both should be black right? More specifially what brand name and the style its called? ty.

I try to avoid black dress shoes unless I'm going somewhere at night or going to a funeral... nice brown/oxblood/tan/burgundy/etc. shoes have so much more character, especially at a lower price point, and will actually go better with almost any color suit other than black.

However, for an accounting job interview (conservative environment), to go with your new charcoal suit that I recommended in your other thread, I'd get something black by Allen-Edmonds. You can pick them up for ~$300 at www.zappos.com, or if you're lucky a lot cheaper at Nordstrom Rack (~$150) or on eBay (as low as $20!). The nice thing about AE is you can send them back to the manufacturer to be refurbished, so the shoes last a long, long time. They're nice to begin with, too.

Check these out:

Bostonians are not nearly as nice (one-third the price for maybe one-fifth the shoe) but work in a pinch, particularly if you're young and just getting started. I have a captoe pair I picked up in oxblood at the Rack for $35 that look pretty good, surprisingly.

Something like these:

Generally, if you're aiming to go cheaper on a pair of dress shoes it's better to not go any more ornate than a captoe. Broguing is probably inappropriate for a job interview anyway.

More on "dress-casual" shoes later! Hope this helps.

Sneakers are cool brother. I wear black sketchers, and I put shoes shine on them. That is the only pair of new shoes I got right now. I also feature a prison break outfit. Jeans, solid color or striped dress shirt, with rolled up sleaves, all the way to the middle of my upper arms, then I dont button last two or 3 buttons, dont tuck it in, and wear a black A-shirt underneath. Nice, eh? The other day I drove in $100,000 black bentley, I think I looked bad a55. I also dont wear any colgne and hairjail my hair back.

As far as shoes go, Id pick up anything I like at DSW shoes, as long as I can walk in them on carpet and tile without slipping. Sometimes you get a pair of really expensive shoes, and its like ice skating when you walk in for an interview. That really sux, try to avoid that.

These look nice. Wondering why you pick Ferragamo at that price point though, sparky...
