Good response to..

Hey guys this is only my first post but I've been lurking for a while. This site has helped me ALOT and I thank everyone for it

Anyways I have this filipino accent and I was wondering...what would be a good playful response when someone says "nice accent" or anything like that?

"Thanks."

Then just start a conversation as normal.

I would say (playfully of course): "its sexy right? I get that a lot"

 

[Plec07]

You: "Really? I get embarrassed about sounding different, don't you feel that way about yours?"

Her: "What do you mean? I don't have an accent."

You: "Oh... well... I'm Sean, and you are, my dear?

Her: "I'm <insert name here>, but what were you saying about my accent?"

You: "Don't worry about it, I'll explain it when I next see you."

Her: "But we might not see each other again"

You: "Well if you gave me your number, It's definately make it more of a possibility won't it?"

*If she says no just come back with "Well then I guess you'll never know" and leave.

And there you have a number close. Obviously she's probably not gonna say exactly what I said but use your game and improvise to get a similar effect. Also it's only gonna work if she doesn't have a difinitive accent, but that should go without saying.
