So I have two dates planned for the same night.

I texted #1 for date, no response after 1.5 days.
I texted #2 for date, responds yes and "can't wait to see you" a few hours later.

Then - #1 texts "hi sorry! yes i've been thinking about you!"

Problem: I need to cancel one of them. Is there any right way to flake while maintaining her IL? I'm thinking of telling the one that took a while to text back (#2) something like "you're too slow! i already made plans! we'll have to do another time."

Technically that would be the truth anyway.

The one who toke 1.5 days to reply is either no interested in you, considering you after guy A flaked her and has a flake coefficient which is sky high.

Take the entusiastic girl with no doubt, actually there is no reason for you to even ask this question, wheter you talk about who deserves you the most or who is the surest thing.

Remember generally that an interested girl wont take too much to agree and will show happiness to see you, while an low interest girl takes time, use ****y/short lines and is very likely to flake once she got her ego boost.

Interesting. She said yes though, so do I just cancel on her or tell her that I made other plans because she took so long?

If I were you I would simply cancel without giving any further explanation, first you want to make it clear that you are not eating from her hand so she is not supposed to let you wait 1.5days to reply to a text, second you own her no explanation after her sh1tty behaviour.

Also she replied "I've been thinking about you" she didnt replied "lets go somewhere glad you called", dont reward low interest and unpolite behaviours with entusiasm.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

#2 seems obvious. She's down.

But clearly you're more interested in #1 (either b/c she's hotter, she's not making things as easy or both)

I wouldn't cancel, I would reschedule/suggest another night the same week. Always keep 2 in the kitty. Definitely go with #2 on the original night tho - my 2 cents.
