Please do not watch that god awful Full House or Family Matters. They suck ass and balls. I'm old school so Seinfeld, Curb your enthusiasm, Cheers, Grounded for Life (my daughter just turned me on to it) is really good too.

what the freak is trailer park boys
It's a Canadian show about a bunch of people who live in a run-down trailer park. Lots of swearing, dope smoking, alcoholism and illegalities. Fun for the whole family!

Holy crap, you think Everybody Loves Raymond is great? That shows about as generic and dull as dishwater as sitcoms get.

Some good sitcoms (including some obvious ones):

Seinfeld (duh)

Curb Your Enthusiasm: created by and stars the creator of Seinfeld, but it's on HBO, so it's really like a darker, more adult version of Seinfeld. And it really is.....everything from the style of dialogue to the jokes to the way Larry David speaks will remind you of Seinfeld.

Simpsons (first several seasons, then the show got a totally new staff and went to sh*t)

Futurama: if you liked the Simpsons, watch this.

South Park: it may seem like crude, infantile humor (and often it is), but in actuality it's a really smart show in its own way, and for some reason more than any other show I could watch this 24/7 if I had to. I prefer the first several seasons, though.

Freaks and Geeks: this is more of a drama with comedy than a sitcom, but it's pretty funny at times. But it's a really good show, especially if you experienced american highschool.

Malcolm in the Middle (a really funny and unique show about 4 sons in a dysfunctional family; the dad Hal is awesome)

The Office (UK version): somewhat of a dramedy, but has some of the funniest moments in television ever. The character David Brent will be a freakin tv legend. The show also has a nice honesty about the way it treats its characters that makes it more heartfelt. This is one of the best shows ever on television. It's also only 12 episodes + an extra length special final episode long, too.

Arrested Development: quite simply one of the funniest shows ever. It's literally so chock full of funny lines, self-referential humor and hilarious characters that you have to pay close attention or watch through several times to catch everything. Gob is one of the funniest characters ever.

3rd Rock from the Sun: this is one of the more standard sitcoms on the list, but it's just very well done and really funny. John Lithgow (actor) is the freakin man.

News Radio: ditto (minus John Lithgow). I'm not too into standard laugh-track sitcoms anymore, but this is one of those rare ones that was actually really good.

That's all I can think of right now....

Get married and have a kid then you'll get it. Single guys don't appreciate the humor.

Ugggh! *vooooooooomiiiiiit*

Consider:

T.V.?

T.V. + "good" ?

IF:

T.V. + "good" = oxymoron

"good" + comedy + T.V. = oxymoron

Sitcoms + "good" = oxymoron

THEN:

"good" + comedy + tv + sitcoms = you're a moron

ALSO:

TV is for women.

NOW:

"good" + comedy + tv + sitcoms = TV is for women = you're a moron
you're a moron =/= oxymoron

It's analytical logic, in it's simplest form. Most men have the capacity to understand this - it separates men from women.

You should, by nature, be able to understand this. If not, well... you better see a gynecologist to have him tell you what your problem is.

BTW - If you don't watch TV at all you've got bigger problems.
If you call "busy doing worthwhile things" a problem, then yes, yes I do have bigger problems.

When's your appointment?

And, if you guys seriously consider how we as DJ's/rAFC's interact socially and how we percieve society, you'll see something quite curious: we are sociopaths. Since we don't play by society's rules, have regard for what is traditionally "socially acceptable", or conform to societal standards, then we are actually "socially dysfunctional". So, by definition, we are actually sociopathic, perhaps even psychopathic in some regards.

Jeez... I didn't think I was crazy? Doesn't that mean I'm crazy?
Aww... darn it! I spoiled the fun by knowing that I'm crazy now.
I'm quite sure those links will help me.
