I am NOT a natural actor by any sense of the word. Never done it, never cared to, but I might be in a situation where I have to start playing a character on my infomercial.

It's comedy, but the comedy is going to be in the situation and not so much the delivery, so I don't have to worry about being funny, just being able to deliver my lines in a somewhat realistic manner.

Any tips?

If I can pull it off I think it will be a lot of fun. IF I can pull it off!

What are you going to be on that "when women ruled the world" tv show?

Not like the world needs another "reality" show...

It sounds like you're insecure and trying to get attention.

Brother STR8UP,

I'm a filmmaker who's worked with Strassburg trained actors and actresses from The Actors Studio in Manhattan. Give me the details and I'll help you with whatever you need.

It's an infomercial for my business. I pretty much have complete control.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

Huh?

Pretty much the opposite. I'm not comfortable with too much attention. I'm not a "spotlight" kind of guy.

Damn, I forgot. Good to know I have friends in the biz!

Nothing really specific. I'm sure you have seen the Myspace page, and if you've seen the trailer for the infomercial you kind of know the direction we are taking.

I will be playing a hypocritical televangelist bent on destroying the "heathens" who are responsible for the show.

You've met me in person, so you might have picked up on the fact that I'm pretty low key. Not exactly the type of person who is a natural in fronto of the camera, but I know that acting is something that can be learned to an extent.

Take Jared from the Subway commercials. When he first started he was TERRIBLE. Now he could actually pass for a mediocre actor.

Me....at this point "bad" wouldn't be the word for my skills. I just need basic pointers on how to get myself into the right frame.

If this isn't enough info send me a PM. I don't like to give too many details to 311345234526 people.

You want to emulate as closely as possible that which you're portraying. In your case I would suggest checking out Jimmy Swaggart when he sobbed openly about "I've sinned against you Lord.".

Method actors internalize every aspect of that which they're portraying. I could go on and on about the differences between Strasberg's Method and Sandy Meisner's but the gist of it is all in how one acts honestly under imaginary circumstances.

We should get together over sushi and talk about it.

I'd love to do the sushi thing again. I'm beyond busy right now but we have to do it soon. What happened to you last time, BTW?

Don't "act".
That would be great if I had the personality of a televangelist, but that's a FAR stretch for me.
