I decided next time i am in town i am going to buy some weights, i saw a nice set which has the longer pole and to shorter ones like dumbells aswell as 50kg of weights to fit on to them.

Has any one got any advice for any equipment thats not to expensive that i can use to help my abbs because situps suck they end up hurting my back aswell.

I just use a dumbbell held on my upper chest with my hands and do them that way. Nothing special.

when doing sit up, dont keep your back straighht and stiff.

Your spine should be rolling off the ground.

True, that is how i do them actually. I roll my back up and forward until my shoulder blades leave the mat, hold for a sec and then slowly unroll my back down onto the mat again. Rinse, Lather, Repeat. I up the weight after i can do 20-25 reps.

Weighted crunches - put a book or weight plate on your chest and do ordinary crunches.

Remember a sixpack is made in the kitchen, not the gym.

With a twist? Honestly, when you're doing regular crunches with 50kg of weight on your stomach your abs will be fine!

Put a rucksack on your back?

Your first purchase should be a Olympic weight starter kit, usually 300 pounds for $150

I'm a big fan of using a rucksack for training, I do my pullups using 80# in my well worn ALICE pack.
