Why the fvck do I still watch the WWE?

So Brock Lesnar takes The Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak, he kicks the hell out of John Cena, kicks the hell out of Randy Orton, and goes on an entire 2.5 year a.ss kicking streak including the likes of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, The Wyatts, and even went back to UFC to kick Mark Hunt's a.ss.

Then 50 year old Bill Goldberg (who hasn't had a match in 12 years)....comes in and beats this man in under 2 minutes?

I'm done. I can't take WWE anymore. The creative svcks, the storytelling svcks, there's no long-term development of characters, etc., etc.

I don't care how "fake" pro wrestling is supposed to be, even in a "fake fight" this shyt doesn't make any damn sense.

Brock Lesnar is genuinely a scary freakishly strong tough guy.

The only explanation I can come up with is that goldberg is no longer in the position to have a fake fight, either that or he got injured so could come up with anything better than that.

It doesnt make any sense otherwise, or he just overroided himself to get in shape but his lungs didnt match it.

I forgot the Survivor Series was on last night until I saw your thread.
Obviously they want to keep Goldberg around a little longer, and with that in mind it probably makes sense to give him the win. Even though him beating Lesnar is a stretch. He's better off doing the quick squash.

My issue is that it raises Goldberg up to significantly HIGH levels in terms of being "significantly better" than all of these other guys like The Undertaker, John Cena, Randy Orton, all of The Shield, and even going back to Lesnar's old WWE run you throw in names like Hulk Hogan and The Rock (who Lesnar also beat).

Nobody was able to dominate Lesnar like that in under 2 minutes, but Goldberg can at 50 years old? The booking makes no sense whatsoever. Vince Mcmahon is out of touch and he just destroyed Brock Lesnar's credibility.

The only way to save Lesnar's credibility is to have him quickly come back with a win over Goldberg in the same fashion at Royal Rumble or something. Lesnar is the industry's TOP DRAW right now....to have your top draw beaten like that makes absolutely no damn sense.

I figured Goldberg was gonna win. He's not gonna agree to a comeback just to be jobbed out in his first match.

They often book Lesnar as unstoppable, which they should. But they occasionally do something STUPID that sets him back. In his 4 years back he has lost at least 5 times. That number should be 2 or 3 at most. Losing to Cena in his first match back in 8 years was STUPID. You bring The Beast back and start him 0-1. They were lucky he came back from that, because he's Brock. Losing to HHH at Wrestlemania was also stupid, even though Lesnar won 2 matches against HHH's 1. HHH's win was the high profile match, effectively making the feud a draw. They didn't need 3 matches because HHH didn't need to get his win back in that feud.

I didn't mind Lesnar losing to Taker at Summerslam because Taker NEEDED that win back for his credibility. And it should have been clean, as in Taker burying his ass 1-2-3 with a tombstone. That wouldn't have hurt Brock as he'd just had the biggest rub in the history of the company by ending the streak. And END THE FEUD 1-1 for Taker's sake. But no, in a STUPID fashion again, Taker won match 2 only by cheating, and they had Lesnar bury Taker in a 3rd match. I'm not sure why a feud can NEVER end in a draw as Taker came out of that looking TERRIBLE.

This was up there as really stupid but not as bad as losing to Cena in his return. They can play this off as Lesnar being overconfident and Goldberg catching him by surprise, but they have work to do now. Lesnar should brutalize Goldberg on multiple shows and also eliminate him from the Royal Rumble, before beating him in the 3rd match at Wrestlemania 33, after a 20+ minute street fight. Goldberg owes Brock now for doing the job twice.

Yeah, I think they'll play it off as Lesnar being overconfident.

By the way, I saw Goldberg has announced his intention to be in the Royal Rumble. I think they need to be real careful here, because if the crowd sees him as the planned winner, they may turn on him in ugly fashion the way they did in past years when Batista and Roman Reigns won. Today's wrestling fans don't like being told who to cheer for, or having someone stuffed down their throat.

There's a lot of old, washed-up former superstars of mma who would be worth big money to pro rasslin. I think Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, and Randy Couture could all have WWE careers if they wanted one. It's too bad Kimbo died. He could have been a WWE legend.

Bleacher report rumor says WWE brass didn't believe Brock and Goldberg were capable of putting on an entertaining match so they did a squash job and "took the money and ran." In WCW Goldberg was notorious backstage for being a poor worker and a potato throwing stiff.

A rematch doesn't make any sense at this point, but WWE is well known for having angles that don't make sense. Why would you give a rematch to a guy that lost in 90 seconds? That's like a football team losing 60-0 and then demanding a rematch.

And they were probably right. They could have given Brock the win in a squash job, but that probably would have angered the people who wanted to see Goldberg. This way, the Goldberg supporters are happy. And after thinking about it a little, I think Lesnar's credibility is good enough to be able to absorb the loss. A rematch probably isn't necessary.

I agree. The minute WWF and WCW became WWE, it started to go downhill. There is no competition.

They just need to drop this feud. Charge it to the game. Seeing Brock Lesnar fight 50 year old Goldberg isn't entertaining to me because theres nothing that can come from it. Lesnar needs to come back full time and get that Gold.

Wrestling is fake. The result is already set.

What's the point in watching it?

This was some strange behavior in the other thread, but now it's clear you're just a troll. If you have nothing to contribute find something better to do with your time and get lost.

Great rebuttal. Try offering a response next time.

I'm perplexed that predetermined wrestling counts as something.

You should offer actual substance in your next comment.

It's a television show. If you've ever watched a movie, then you're being somewhat hypocritical.
