Going to the UK in May....any suggestions?

I will be in Coventry the weekend of May 22nd, then London from the 24th to the 28th.

I will be there on business, but the only serious business I have to attend to is a convention on the 23rd.

Unfortunately, I will be there with people who are cool, but don't really party, so I might be at the mercy of their itinerary and I might not get to experience much of the nightlife unless I get out on my own.

Not sure where I will be staying exactly, but I'm wondering if there is anything that is a must see or must do.

One of the guys I am going with was born in the UK, so I have a local tour guide, but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions??

Haha....a good friend of mine was there last year. He hit a club with his girlfriend and his cousins who live there (he was born there but you would never know...he's as apple pie as they come).

Anyway, he told me this story about how when his girl went to the restroom, one of the british chicks heard him say something and asked if he was American. He told her he was, and she immediately tried to make out with him! Funny.

I've heard the women are pretty hideous looking for the most part and every bit as "entitled" as American women though.....

But I have heard that the second those girls hear the "american" accent, they're all over it. Well American girls are the fattest in the world and, in my opinion, the ugliest as well. Also, the fvcked up teeth is a myth perpetuated by fat Americans to make themselves feel better. Most of these people have never been outside of America so have no valid say on the matter at all.

I will give you the fattest, by far, but have you ever been to LA, or New york, or Miami? You can't walk 5 feet without seeing at least 3 hot girls.

As for the UK women.....I have heard that they are less attractive than American chicks. I cannot confirm this personally (yet), but even Tom Leykis said that women in the UK were, well, um, less than attractive for the most part. I hope to prove him wrong.....

I have been a few places in EU. Here is my breakdown of the hotness of the women-

Amsterdam- the locals are extremely hospitable, but if you want HOT women you might want to look up some of the eastern European hookers in the RLD cause the Dutch women did not impress me. Maybe I wasn't in the right area....

Berlin- The polish chicks were STUNNING. I saw a ton of lookers there. Stayed in the Mitte district. Lots of hotties.

Munich- Wasn't impressed with the women, but the once in a lifetime chance to experience Oktoberfest makes it a MUST SEE

Prague- Lets put it this way. the Czech Repiblic would be on my short list of places with the most beautiful women on the planet.

Republic of Georgia (mainly Tblisi)- Lots of Turkish influence which I do not care for. The occasional stunner with more of a Russian look. The women here DO dress like ladies and are cultured and incredibly talented and smart.

Like I said, I have heard good and bad things about UK women. I am traveling with a guy who grew up there, so hopefully I will get the opportunity to experience it the way the locals do.

I wouldn't mind returning to the US with a story similar to my buddy's, or better yet an overseas lay report. I will be using my American "accent" to my advantage, you can bet on that!

I was there last summer, so here's just some things from my experience:

Weather will most likely be **** - not as cold as you might expect for how far north they are, but miserable. It will most likely be dank and gloomy.

From what I saw girls were alright, of course in a city as big as London there will be plenty of hotties, but I would definitely not say most women were anything special. The UK is the most Americanized place in Europe IMO, so there's plenty of fatter girls. Also, this may have changed now that Bush is gone, but don't expect any great love for being American. They probably won't hate you, but people jumping on you just because you're American sounds as likely as being welcomed into Iraq as liberators. Not saying your friend's story didn't happen, but its not a common thing, though again, no doubt Obama is greatly helping the US image abroad.

As for what to do, depends what sort of things you like to see. I really like history so I'd definitely recommend the Tower of London(mostly outside though so dress appropriately) and Westminster. That might not be your thing. Oh, and real British pub food is ****ing awesome. British food has a bad reputation, but at least in this one area, I strongly disagree.

London is a world city, so being multi cultural you will run into woman of all nationalities.

The women are friendly and great to talk too. The notion that they are hideous is false. They drink heavily though and they age badly. Great fun and perfect for short term flings or one night stands. Long term though you need your head read to settle for them I would think.

There are a lot of good looking women in the UK, its just that the numbers and ratios are not that good. But they are always up for a good time and being a yank will work in your favour in Coventry. In London, your nationality wont help at all. Everyone is an immigrant in London

Get the hell out of Coventry. A dire ****e hole, though Warwick university (similar in ranking to say Brown University) , note lots of pretty and intelligent girls, is nearby, and the train to Birmingham and Broad Street isn't too long or expensive, about £8 return off-peak. If you want a low-down, or even a guide, on Birmingham, pm me as it is my city.

London is expensive, but a great city, I don't know the place that well as it's a mission for me to get to, but you'll find the most 'Amerikana' here - hot but stuck-up girls, rampant drug use in all social classes etc etc.

PS The teeth stereotype is true in the working classes and when you compare us to Americans. But we aren't that bad.
