Commit yourself to a goal or maybe a few. It doesn't matter what they are or if they make sense to anyone else. Choose to commit to a new daily habit, finally completing something that has been hanging over your head, stretching yourself into new territory, or maybe doing so many approaches, it doesn't matter what. You choose. Choose goals that you'll be proud for accomplishing, by the end of this month. If you have a larger goal, great, break it down. Make your commitment what you will attain in June. Choose something, publicly commit, engage necessary action steps, and attain a result you will be proud of, at the end of the month.

Talk is cheap. Action and results are what count here. Let's choose to create meaningful change in our lives this month.

I get that these will not all make sense, to others who read them. They make sense to me. I know I will be better off for their attainment.

Game on, for me!

1. Meditate every day, 30 minutes minimum
2. Lux tape everyday
3. Fully update 9 rooms
4. Energy focused into current chapter and creating next
5. 10 pm cutoff every day
6. Engage direct

Those are my goals of change, for June. What are yours? What would best serve you and your life? Stretch yourself. Commit to something. Post it. Let's create momentum and results for ourselves.

I'm going to keep it simple.

1. Eat super clean. I have to cut-off high-carb foods once and for all, **** is keeping my progress from being as optimal as it could be.
2. Start an strechting routine. This and starting a martial art are the only thing lacking in my fitness goals.

Now that I think of it, I only have to optimize my fitness life, I have everything else pretty much under control. Not by far where I want to be, but I'm certain my progress is steady and continue. This is really nice now that I think of it, I've improved a lot, and the path is still full of promises. I love the internet, it gives you no room for excuses, because you know what you HAVE to do, and the only thing left is to put the effort.

1. Lift 3 times a week

2. Start a keto diet.

That's enough for now. I have been slacking.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Be careful of sharing goals publicly, even on an anonymous forum.

People may tell you how awesome you are for having such awesome goals and that will make you feel awesome.

Which may subtract from your motivation to achieve goals, which necessarily requires a certain amount of "non-awesomeness" about your current state.

Simply having goals does not make a man awesome. A man that believes so is misguided to begin with.

Focus, wise action and results, are what lead to the attainment of goals.

Certainly, one's dissatisfaction with where they are beginning may be an early motivator. At some point, shifting one's motivation and primary focus, to what they are striving for, is imperative to it's actual attainment.

What would better serve a man in the long run, to remain mostly solitary and remind himself how horrible he has always been and still is with women, in order to motivate himself to make changes so he is better with women? Or on the other hand, to receive support and guidance, shift his focus and leave who he has been behind, to continually focus on the kind of DJ he intends to be and which actions he's currently taking to become that DJ, and doing so with diligence until actually he becomes that DJ?

I believe the actual achievement of goals and lasting success comes from a willingness to shift focus from where one has been to where one intends to be, while continually engaging actions and thinking that moves one towards that place, until they reach it.

For me, the intention of this thread was simply an opportunity for people to set an expectation for themselves that perhaps they have been holding back on. By stating it here, simply having an extra level of perceived accountability, to motivate them to get it done. In the end it is not about anyone else, but for themselves.

I posted goals for myself yesterday. Several times during the day, there were choice points for me that felt heightened. They were choices that I would have easily swayed another direction, the previous week. I held firmly, for myself, the results I desire, and so at the end of the month I have kept my word to what I stated I would do in this thread.

I simply see it as an opportunity to push oneself a bit, by committing here to doing something that maybe you've struggled to gain some momentum on. Maybe you haven't been to the gym in months so you commit here that you'll go 4 days a week for the rest of this month or taking care of some incompletions around your home or with others. Whatever it is for you, when the choice comes to blow it off or actually get it done, if needed maybe you will feel a little extra push, for you because you made it a goal, and so at the end of the month you can come back here and own that you accomplished your goal.

I am great when I have momentum going. Starting from a standstill on big changes or stagnant tasks can challenge me sometimes. This thread simply offers me and others who are inclined a way to get momentum going again or push ourselves a bit this month.

Five months of the year have already passed. The year is clicking by. I have some changes to make. I don't want to postpone any more. Game on for me. Anyone else inclined to use this as an opportunity to hold themselves more accountable is welcome to join in and post their goal(s) at anytime.

This paradoxon does exist and is proven. Why do you think everyone here posts such sage advice, only to screw up on the next date? :D

LYD, there were some posts by Sammo on Motivation on here some time ago. You might enjoy them, I know they are what made me start working out set me off on this miraculous journey, all these years ago.

Great thread. Goal setting and compliance has contributed toward my net income increasing 20-30% per annum over the past six years!

I already have 23 items on my quotidian to-do list that I always adhere to. For the June month only, I will add:

1. 2 hours weekly on new venture A.
2. 1.5 hours weekly toward renovating office X, to accommodate an extra five employees.
3. 2 hours weekly (including weekends) toward attaining full occupancy of all rental units.
4. 1.5 hours weekly (including weekends) toward disposal of storage in three offices.

I'm currently at 57-hour workweeks, so the seven extra weekly hours are imposing, but not too extreme.

I just spoke to the owner of a local exercise bootcamp. I'm dropping by this evening to check it out. A friend of mine lost 100 pounds in a year doing this camp.

It runs 125 usd a month. I want to lose at least 30 lbs.

Thus will be in place of lifting. I'm going to concentrate on getting fit.

I find that when I take a hiatus from lifting, it's quite the commitment to get back on the saddle.

I do, and encourage others who have taken a hiatus or are working out for the very first time to do, the following:

Week One: Four sets per session. Two sessions per week. Leave.
Week Two: Six sets per session. Two sessions per week. Leave
Week Three: Eight sets per session. Two sessions per week. Leave.
Week Four: Ten sets per session. Two sessions per week. Leave.

Following month, you can increase to three sessions per week.

If you shock the body too much upfront and envision laborious workouts thereafter (especially when you have much on your plate already), you are more likely to break the commitment. Consistency matters.

I've been working out for 25 years, and I still take the aforementioned baby steps after time off. Further, I take this baby-step approach to all activities I am not inclined to, but want to, embrace. Try it.

I'm going to the bootcamp twice a week. It is kicking my ass. I'll increase to three times a week next month.

If I stick with this I will be buff as hell in 6 months, maybe sooner. A big plus is the class is chock full of fit single women of all ages. I have been chatting a few up.

Life threw me LOTS of curve balls this month. That's ok. They stretched and grew me in massive and unexpected ways. I did my best with each and every one. I still am. Along the way my focus on my stated goals vacillated. Progress best sums up what I accomplished with my stated goals. I honor that.

To those who chose to set goals and strive for more from themselves, by doing so, I honor your efforts and hope you were pleased with your progress. Wishing everyone the best.

Accomplished 1, 3, and 4 above. Item 1 consumed 4 hours a week, so I dropped Item 2 for the month. However, as a result of the 16 hours this month toward item 1, I am likely to secure 50-80k in additional revenue within 90 days in this new venture. Not bad for 16 hours of work, heh?

For July:

1) 4 hours weekly on Venture A
2) 1 hour weekly toward renovating office X, to accommodate additional staff.
3) 30 min weekly toward maintaining full occupancy in all rental units.
4) 30 min weekly toward finishing the disposal of storage.

Well actually a few things. Did start online study. Dropped out 2 assignments in but I've now got all the course material so should be able to go through it pretty quickly when I have a few days off. Did some house maintenance repairs.
