Glutamine or Creatine? Or both?

I read somewhere that you should take a certain one prior to your workout and one afterwards, is there any truth to that?

And finally you can mix it with whey protein, right?

who cares
i think you could learn a thing or two about supplements....

go on google search for glutamine find out what it does for you.....then go on google again, but this time search for creatine.....youll find out that theyre very different...

then go find out what amnio acids whey protein has and youll find out that it has glutamine included in it. so if you already drink whey protein you dont have to worry about taking glutamine separatly.

i would take creatine (although i dont) before my work outs and whey after my work outs....

I read, if you take them, don't mix.

Take your creatine and protein 30 mins apart if you're going to take them close together. Otherwise you can have the problem of "mixed digestion," which whas explained at this webpage I was at... anyway, basically, don't mix them.

Take half a dose of creatine with dextrose or maltodextrine energy drink (you can find these at GNC) 45 minutes before your workout and the other half immediately after your workout with the same drink. Take glutamine if you get sick alot, or to decrease muscle soreness. The best way to take it is in 5 gram doses 3 times a day.

mixed digestion...give me a break...Yeah, it may be optimal to take them 30 minutes a part, but so is eating every other nutrient... I'm sure that was figured out in some lab some where. How will other nutrients react the the two?

I've been mixing the two for years, have taken them seperately as well, and have found no difference. But, that's my body. Your's may re-act differently.

Don't take someone's opinion or experiment as gospel. Even if they claim to be experts. You know your body, see what works, what doesn't.

By the way, GNC has the highest prices of ANY suppliment store in the US. I suggest mail order. There's about a 40% difference. Shipping is typically $5.00. Well, worth the cost...

eh, I figure if they've done scientific research that it's not optimal, and the quest for bodybuilding is for optimal muscle gain, then why not just wait a few minutes and take them apart.

you can mix creatine and protein, i'm doing it for years. That site also says you can't eat protein and carbs together..wtf ? One of the basic principles of nutrition in bodybuilding is always eating them together, unless you'r going to sleep.

I recommend taking creatine with dextrose or some other high gi carb.
