Girlfriend Birthday

Its my girlfriend's birthday this week and was thinking of doing something special with her...

I was thinking of a romantic cruise however the weather forecast doesnt look too good for the day..

Is there any other ideas other than that and the cliched "dinner" ?

Any ideas any of you have?

take her out to dinner. yeah i know it is cliche, but she will like it. also, give her a nice bouquet of fresh spring/summer flowers (roses are overrated and for valentines day). Also spend the whole day with her (if you can, otherwise spend a day or two with her on the weekend) make her feel really special and smile at her a lot. she will feel like a queen. as for a gift gift, i have no idea because i don't know what she likes. maybe take her shopping or something? i m not sure about that one, but I hope this helps at least some :]

dont over spend then shel feel obligated when your bday around
over spending = overcompensating for your own charcter flaws

show her a good time with minimal money spent/material objects

Can't help you much, my gf's b-day is this Sunday and I haven't put any thought into what I'll do yet, I start planning Friday night (I work well under pressure - thinking some things from Victoria's Secret (their regular summer clothes not lingerie) and a weekend spent clubbing (I'm going to get some x too). No cruises though for us, you two must have been dating awhile to spring for that!
