There's a girl in my class who i planned on talking to, just for the hell of it because there's really no one else to talk to. Now for those who don't know me as a regular poster im a high school student in a college program so im going to be in the same room with the same 20 kids for the next 3 months. Anyways something happened today, the class got into a war with the teachers and a few kids walked out (the girl was one of them) and one student said he saw them (her and another student) talking with one of the head administrators of the program, so alot of the students don't like them anymore and they were labelled snitches because they came back in the room with teachers. I was thinking, seeing that her rep is all down i don't think there really is anything she could do to me reputation wise if i talked to her, there is a possibilty she could be snobby if i talked to her, but if she was it really wouldn't matter seeing that she isn't well liked already. But im not sure, alot of people really don't like her, i even heard one boy who threatened to get his sister to beat her up over a dispute they had. I don't want to waste my time trying to associate with her if the next day she's going to be all beaten up or if there's going to be alot of drama involved. What do you guys think, should i just back away from the situation, is it too much to get myself into.

don't want to get involved with women if there is drama involved? ... good luck with that :p

If you want to approach her, just do it. Try not to be concerned with what other people would think of you (or what they think of her). Do something because you want to do it. If it ends up being a problem or more of a hassle than you wanted, you can always end it. You have the power to walk away when you need to.

As the saying goes: "Rejection is better than regret"

I think you are still stuck in the highschool mentality.

Unless you go to a really small college in the middle of nowhere, no one really cares about rep and nobody really is going to beat somebody after class (adults go to jail for assault ). Majority of people in college have a life outside the classroom which doesn't always involve their classmates.

If you are still concerned about your rep then maybe you should go back to highschool.

well we are high school students in a community college in the city, and people only get arrested for assault like any other crime if they get caught. You have to understand im not in some preppy university, im in a community college program full of bunch of hood people who smoke weed, fight and do all sorts of other things that are against the law in pretty rough city (not saying it's a bad college). That's why people keep the manta no snitching. And plus the girl and the kids she was with are white, everyone else is black so that started some racial conflict. I think basically, since im black i just don't want to be a part of that conflict if it happens to get worse. Plus i don't want to have to stand up for her anything (thats what i mean by getting involved).
