Girl i like is texting me alot

What is your opinion on texting? I did a search, and i did not see much discussion of texting in high school.

well i hate...and i'm not just saying that because i can't text

but honestly...dont use it as anything more than a way to set up dates and push/pull

if you constantly text..you'll run out of things to talka bout when you go out together somewhere...she might get bored...you'll waste valuable time you could be spending on your studies or something you're passionate about

For planning only is best...try not to overdo it

well... i'd say its on a case by case basis. for me, the main problem is that occasionally, my sense of humor doesn't come through over a text. sarcasm is a hard thing to convey through nothing more than text. however, this great girl that i've been in an ltr with for the last 11 months loves texting. she absolutely feels great about always being able to get ahold of me. i still don't respond right away, so im not TOO available, but it is basically a direct link to me at all times for her. not to mention, if the girl's way into you like mine is, it helps with jealousy and insecurity. i never really wonder what she's doing without me, cuz she and i are pretty much always in a conversation.

As far as my opinion on texting, I usually text with the girls I'm not trying to get with (my close friends who are girls) a lot. It helps build up texting skills (hah) so you can give that witty one-liner when you set up your next date with a girl you do want to get with, and leave her wanting more. Also, I dont know about you guys, but when I'm flirting with a girl, this happens a lot: she'll take my phone to add her number or take a picture of us or something and end up going through my text messages. Guaranteed. Every time a girl has my phone in her hands, or any dude's phone, they look at the text messages. They're just nosy, thats how they are. No real motive behind it. In my opinion, its nice to have some texts from some girls in there when theyre browsing away thoughts?

You shouldnt allow them to go through your phone. It just isnt right. Especially when they dont ask for permission, which they never do.
Your basicly telling them "oh ok sure you can go through my phone and everything personal in it, I dont care about you respecting me"

I do let girls add their own number but I keep an eye on them. Whenever a girl trys to turn away from me and look through my phone real quick I just ask for it back and then bust on them for being rude.

Texting can be used to get your foot in the door but once you have hung out and made a relationship with the girl you shouldnt be using it much. Especially not to have a conversation with her.

Give her the gift of missing you.

And dont neglect talking on the phone or it will bite you in the a$$ sooner or later.

Most DJ theory will tell you to only text to set up dates etc. However I find that it's just a part of normal highschool life. When A guy has something going with a girl they usually text each other. As long as you don't reply instantly to every message or constantly text her you should be fine. Just keep in mind that texting will get you no where if you can't get attraction in person.
