This girl at my work was on her last day and left me a note with her #/email on it before she left. Ive waited a couple weeks already but i was thinking to hold off a bit as i has some thing s to take care of. Is there such a thing as holding off too long?

WTF why would you wait a couple weeks? At the very least I'd think it's common courtesy to respond promptly to a woman who is taking a risk and throwing herself out there for you

It says "spread rep before giving to sage again" but yes. You have waited for much too long because you are chicken.

I know dude- I was there. This cute girl working the cash register a couple of years ago gave me her number on a piece of paper. Actually, she was too shy so she gave it to one of the cooks, who then gave it to me.

I waited so long to call that by the time I finally did, she wasn't interested.

Lesson learned: When you have a number, call quickly to lock it in and/or before you lose your nerve. (no 3 day wait garbage because then you'll put it off).

Although I should add that if you personally feel like calling in 3 days, there are no real hard and fast rules.

Just don't wait 2 weeks man. Never again.

DonDiscovery: The advice was for the OP specifically as well as anyone who is a procrastinator. For rest of us, there are no rules b/c inner state trumps all.

3-4 days about the right time? definitely not 2 weeks.

EDIT: Darth, is that piece of advice for newbies or everyone?

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
