Girl at work is confusing me.

I work at American Eagle in my local mall. There's this really hot girl I work with that seems different, it's hard to explain but here goes...

First off, I work with some ****y guys, who are funny and seem to do all the things a DJ should do, I notice their all flirty with this particular girl, but she just rolls her eyes or doesn't even smile whenever she hears them just being guys and talking, and being funny. They have more of a 'Wild and crazy' personality. I actually have a hard time NOT busting out laughing listening to how they talk and stuff.

Now I have more of a laid back, and calm personality. I'm not very funny, I can be ****y, but humor doesn't come naturally to me. But for some reason, this hot girl only smiles whenever I try to jump into a conversation and say something funny, even though nobody else thinks it is. A few times while I'm working I notice her just watching me talk to customers and such, and whenever I look over at her, she smiles at me. I think I am more good looking than the other guys there, but I don't have nearly as much personality. Do you think it sounds like she's into me? Because if she is, it confuses me that all I have going for me is looks, while the other guys, who still look good also, have alot more going for them in personality and such. Could looks really mean more? Or do you think it just varies from girl to girl?

Keep in mind, I do still portray alot of confidence in my body language and such, I'm just not nearly as social as the other guys.

I'm not a newbie.... I just have a certain rule that I don't date girls that I work with, it would make it awkward being there working with her. It was more of a question as "Why does she seem more into me when all the other guys I work with seem to be much better with women?" We're not even supposed to date girls we work with there, last time 2 people at work hooked up, they had to transfer one of them to another store. But she is hot, so I might consider it, I'd just have to keep it on the low-down. Not even sure how to go about it at work. Especially since being real flirty don't seem to work with the other guys.

Hey, if you got a policy, that actually makes it LESS awkward.

Say, "hey, I'm not allowed to ask, but we should hang out sometime. You could give me your number." If she's not interested, she has a very easy way out, "Oh, we're really not allowed." That will prevent most awkwardness, if you wanted to try it. She can say no without rejecting you.

But who cares why she likes you? Humor is great, but it isn't everything. Go ahead and try.

Dude.. you're working a minimum wage job. who gives a fuċk if you hook up with your co-workers. it's not like you will ruin your career by hooking up with her. worse case scenario is you have to find another minimum wage job, and if you're in a big city, that isn't hard to do at all.
