Life doesn't go by with its irony...

I am really confused guys... help a brother out.

Things were going really well. Gf told me yesterday that she's pregnant. Don't get me wrong, she's not using this to blackmail me or anything... she simply told me that she's pregnant and will be having an abortion. I don't know what to do...

Originally, we told each other and joke around with each other that if she gets pregnant, it's up to her if she wants to have an abortion and if she wants to keep it, i'll support her and stuff... but last night she told me that she will get an abortion, I feel really confused... my conscience is killing me here...

It's a child... it's an unborn child...

If she wants to abort it she will. Consult a lawyer to find out your rights, but legally I think she can without your consent and against your will.

You need to take some time to figure out what you want. If you want the child and not the woman, realise that there may be conflict down the road and be prepared to deal with it.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go off and marry this woman only because she is knocked up. You will live to regret it if she is not the woman you really want to spend your life and possibly share half your earnings with.

If she decides to go through with it and its against your wishes, be a man and say what you feel about it. She may change her mind, she may do it anyway. My friends girl aborted his baby and it still bothers him to this day. He didn't speak up and that made him feel even worse. So speak your mind.

If you decide to support her in it. Support her. Offer to help with it financially, and be there for the emotional fallout afterwards.

Either way your relationship has changed and it will never go back to being what it was before. That doesn't mean it will be better or worse, but it will be different from here on out. Understand that this could drive a wedge between you and ruin things, or make things stronger...it depends on the individuals. I wish you all the luck in the world man.

If you want to pay for the kids needs and the moms needs for 18 years, then have the kid.

This.

honestly, i hate the idea of abortion, coz its killin an unborn child which is murdur in my eyes but then i dunno ur situation, if you can financially support her and the baby for 18 years or more.

its a decision only you can make, but taking your decision on is her decision.

see it from her perspective as well., does she really want a baby out of wedlock? can she support? emotionally? financially? the risk of you two havin a fight and you leaving her with the kid? her friends will see her differently, her social life is cut short, her family's reaction?

all that will be going through her mind.

id say support her and voice ur opinion by reassuring her but dont push her into a decision that you'll regret later..

good luck..

and if ur keeping the baby, Congrats on being a dad

Solution: Falcon punch. If you wanted to be underhand about it, stuff wet cotton wool up there and leave it for a few days. That will cause the womb to dump everything it has out.

Moral of the story, always wear protection.

Do the kid a favor and get rid of it. The last thing it needs is another baby-mama situation, leading to a crazy and controlling mother and an absentee father. She'll badmouth you constantly when you're not around and pinch every penny from you. Your kid will be raised to dislike you.

It will not end well for you or the kid.

Its amazing how some of you can say "just get rid of it", as if its a dog or something. We're talking about human life here...

How do you feel about this woman? If she weren't pregnant, could you see yourself with her long term?

6-heads lewis you are obviously inexperienced in life. 23 years old and you somehow know exactly how this relationship would go and how the child's life would be without any details to the situation... tsk

If she wants to abort the child then that is a choice that can be made. If you love this woman I would speak up. No matter what, things are now different.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

what makes a human life so valuable? stop reading your fairytales and be realistic. remember the days when parents would pump out 10 kids, and 2 would survive? life doesnt mean anything, and its not fundamentally worth anything. you're not doing the kid a favor by having it. likewise your parents didnt have you for your benefit, they did it for their own.

my point is don't feel obligated. its probably in the best interest of the kid to not be born, especially if (no offense) you and your woman have crappy genes. ask someone with severe mental or physical illness, or who is just butt ugly and fat, about the "miracle" of life.

if shes going for an abortion it's her choice, personal I'd be breathing a sigh of relief or something. A baby isn't a joke and if you're not prepared for it, without the financial and emotional support ready you're effectively ruining any kind of a life you had foreseen for yourself, or at least delaying it considerably. It's a human life and i'm sounding selfish but that's the way it is, whats the point of bringing a child into this fcked up world if you can't even properly care for it anyway.

God forbid they have somebody like you.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

It's not a human life yet. It is a potential human life. If it were to come out today, it would not be able to sustain life. In all definitions of the word, its a parasite.

But of course I do believe we should have the right to abort life until the child turns 18 years old. Think how many social problems that could solve.

Her body, her decision. Why is your conscience killing you? And lets not be dramatic..... maybe at 5 months+ you have a child, but at 0-2 months, you're talking about a fetus.

If you ask me, birth control should first and foremost be the woman's responsibility. For all practical purposes, the pill is 100% effective when taken normally and regularly. A woman has a tremendous responsibility to ensure that unwanted pregnancies don't happen. Us guys just help them out, but I see us as the second line of defense that should be augmenting the defense that they should always be taking.
