What message does getting a girls number convey? Do most girls understand the point of why you want their number? Many girls seem puzzled after asking for their number. In most cases does getting a number say I am interested as a friend or more? After all you wouldn't go around asking guys for their number to get to know them. Thanks.

depends

oh firstable ^BUMP^ to this post.

my 49 cents:
(these to be used vice versa [what u think happnd/what they think happnd])

sit. 1: ya meet through a friend, have few beers at a party, later ya go out and do donutz in the icedout parkinglot (safety first kids....dont get stuk on the lawn!). You had a blast. U want to do somthing like this again. atraction factor is "N/A". Cool factor 100. ya share contact info to do this again next time.

sit. 2: ya meet at a party. have a long deep talk about relationships. atraction factor "N-A" to 50. good-person-to-talk-to-when-i-need-an-ear factor 100. ya share contact info so next time u need to blow off steam u have someone to listen to yer ramblings.

sit. 3: ya met in a coffe shop. smile at each other. lots of eye contact from both parties. one of ya makes first moove to aproach the other. have short i-wana-get-to-know-you-overall (name, age, location of current and near future residence, relationship status)convo. atraction factor 100. ya share info in mutual hopes to learn more about the other in a more intimate setting in a very near future.

PS: i do apologize for posting as i havent read the DJ Bible all the way yet.

If you ask for her number in a romantic/sexual sense, and she somehow thinks you're asking as a friend, then you're doing something majorly wrong! Work that attraction. Anyways I'd say generally:

A) You ask for her number, she knows you're interested.
B) She gives you her number doesn't mean she's interested.

It's a tough one to work with. Girls give out their number for an ego boost. You got to work that attraction to the bone before you get the number. I rarely ask for a number unless I've already had some tongue action with said chick. But I don't know what your culture's like, or where you're approaching... so maybe my advice is irrelevant :) I only do pub/club approaches.

If I was up your ass you'd know
getting someones number could go either way, it depends on what kind of qualities you show to her. If you meet her, and from that point she knows she wouldn't ever date you, but gives you her number anyways, she might just want to be friends.

Its all in how you convey yourself to her. If you act all AFC, supplicating, basically being a b!tch, thats whats going to happen. If you dj her, and you get the number, she will get the picture.

Ya, chicks know you're interested in them if you ask for their number.

Think about what you would think of a girl who asked for your number. It's about the same for them, but they do have the occasional guy who asks for their number just to get a # for the night - a boost to the guys ego.

They know what you're up to, unless you've got a real ditz on your hands. If they act puzzled, something's not right. If what you mean is they're thinking about it, what they're actually thinking is, "oh, ****! How do I get out of this..." which means they don't want you. The weird thing is, when they like you, they don't have to think about it, because they've already thought about it. Yeah it's funny how that works...
