I dont ever goto the gym, ever.

I run 5miles twice a week, cycle 5miles once a week, and swim for 30-45mins twice a week first thing in the monring.

Get yourself a bench, and some weights (only cost you about £65 for both brand new), pressups, situps, crunches, pull ups etc etc.

Very little you really need to goto a gym for mate!

Why do you want to look so skinny and weak?

Hit the gym and build a respectable physique instead of going for the "long distance runner's" look.

Do push-ups, and vary your hand positions every few days (regular width, narrow width, wide width)

Do squats.

It's great if you get a pull-up bar.

Do lunges.

Do situps.

You can get two chairs/tables/whatever together and do dips.

Sometimes I do a handstand against a wall, and lower myself, then raise.

These are all I can think of now.

Challenge yourself with these exercises just as you would with weights.

Also, please please please take care to do them right.

Quality over quality. Do them nice and slow, no rush.

Do a few sets of each if you wanna feel like Superman.

Hope this helps.

Good question!. The answer is this, I plan in a year or so to join the Royal Marines, and as such, my endurance trianing must be VERY good. As such, i run, cycle and swim a lot, boosting my VO2max. The upper body stuff i do do (not as much as cardio vasc stuf) & the swimming has given me a nicely toned chest, which I like. It is by no means big, but, this would mean weight, a loss of my endurance (although a big increase in strength).

Basicly, training for joining up mate :)

Why join the marines? Join the army for two years and then trial for the SAS, you sound like you've got the fitness level for it.

Royals mate!

Not to keen on the Army (although I have applied to join the Army Officer Training Corps in sept). RM you can be jump trained (as per Paras), also, do the amphibius assualt also, a lot of varied roles.

Ideally, i'd like to join the RM, do the Mountain Leaders, and then possibly trial for SB selection after 3yrs.

Just always had a passion for the RM really, a few people i know have been in, and I jus want the Green Beret! :D

Is it that hard for you to understand that not everyone wants to look like that? And dont say it's about 'not wanting to put in the effort to get big' If anybody thinks that is actually the reason for not getting big then you have lifted yourself retarded.

You don't want to get big because you don't want to put in the effort. It's easier to have a scrawny runner's body.

If you mean getting into shape as in cutting down on weight. It's highly possible. However, If you want to get in shape by bulking up then YOU NEED WEIGHTS. LIFT FREE WEIGHTS. You won't gain much without em. Plain and simple. Working out at home without equipment: Quickfire laid it out perfectly.

Is that all you can say? As I wrote in my last post, that is the textbook answer from all you idiots. If you read it, it says that people don't all want the same thing. I have actually been bulking for a while now and will continue do to so. Just because I like it, doesnt mean everybody has to.

God, will you two just listen to yourself? Do you have any idea how retarded you sound?
