Ok, last night i got hammered. Im a first year at university so i guess that is the thing to do. The problem is that the other people that were around were not nearly as drunk as me and i ending up talking to a girl about chatting up girls, which is not really the thing to do. What im really saying here is this: WHAT DOES GETTING PISSED OUT OF YOUR HEAD ACTUALLY DO TO YOUR SOCIAL STANDING? do people have more respect for you because you can drink so much and have the balls to drink so much. One thing though, i think its good for the system, sorta clenses it and makes you care less about everything. ANy thoughts? is alcohol a good idea?

Drinking, and being able to drink a lot doesn't make you cool. Don't take this as meaning I'm against drinking. That is all my weekend consisted of.

For the most part, lots of people get annoyed by guys who drink insane amounts of alcohol and make sure everyone knows it. Drinking is not some sort of d1ck measuring contest. I can not repeat this enough: No one cares how much you had do drink.

I tend to think of drinking as an individual act done in a group. No one really cares how much the guy next to him drank. You could have had an entire case or just a sixer, no one cares either way.

The biggest thing to look out for is not getting on people's nerves. This past friday there was a kid in the Army hanging out with us. The whole night he was loud, tried to get everyone's attention all night, banged on things, and passed out at 10. He drank a large amount of alcohol. Did it make him cool? No. He got on everyone's nerves and after he passed out we drew penises on him with permanent markers.

When drinking, just drink enough to have a good time. And most importantly, never start telling people how much you've had. No one cares.

No one cares about how drunk you are either. And no one cares about what you do when you're drunk either. In fact, few people really care about drunk people.

On the other hand, it is often a lot a fun and therefore socially acceptable to those who share that view (which, over here anyway, is the vast majority. me included).

Also, why should it matter what some people think is cool? Others will have a different view. What matters is what you think. Being sovereign will work wonders for your social standing.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
