getting a tattoo

Well I've been thinking about it for the past 7 or 8 months and im definitely getting one. I have settled on two, both have a very deep personal significance to me. I was just curious what you guys thought. Ill only be getting one.
the first design I wanted was the Lambda symbol from half-life. It's a greek symbol meaning wavelength. It also was a symbol for the gay/lesbian movement but that was a while ago, and the design that I wanted is quite different from how the symbol was used in that context so im not worried about any uh... confusion haha. If you're not familiar with the game, it is, in (very) short, a symbol for resistance against an oppressive government. To me, it means freedom from oppression, individuality, and fighting for a just cause that is worthy to you. If I got that one it would be small, silver dollar sized, on my inside wrist.

The other one that I was considering was a quote from Fight Club: "It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything." To me this means that only after we give up our worldly possessions and emotions that tie us to a monotonous life can we see the full potential of our existence on earth. If I got this it would be small, between my shoulder blades on my back. What do you guys think? Trust me, Ive thought of everything, ive weighed the pros and cons, don't try to talk me out of it, I have thought about this for a long time. This isn't a rash decision

Haha, what does it matter what we think if you've already made up your mind? Of the two, the lambda seems better, but either way I'm not a big fan.

a tattoo is something YOU decide the worst thing you can do is look for approval by asking strangers whether or not you should get something that is with you forever i recently got a celtic knot tat on my left shoulder blade about 6 months ago and a few people said they didnt like it but after getting it i personally myself LOVE it and i have only had positive comments on it but i still believe it has to be yours and only your choice

I say go for it. Now is a great time to get a tattoo because the weather is cold and you won't be tempted to expose it to the sun or water.

I too have been contemplating getting some tats for some time now. If you get a good one and by someone who knows what they are doing they can look badass. Plus chics dig them, too. I'm going to do some research on it this weekend and try to find someone in the Boston area that is trustworthy.
