How easy is it to catch genital herpes? Will a condom offer much protection? Frankly, I'm pretty confident about a condom's ability to protect against HIV, and the other main nasty STDs out there. But Herpes, I've heard all you have to do is come in contact with the skin of the infected person and now you've got it for life. You can't be stroking away between a girl's legs and not have you skin touch hers down there. Condoms wouldn't do crap in that case. That scares the sh*t out of me. I'm herpes(oral and genital) free, and don't want to have that crap for life. How do you avoid it?

Avoid it by taking a blood sample from her on your first date.
perform some lab tests on it, maybe some PCR to search for herpes virus dna
if its positive, forget about it
if it's negative, hit it on your second date
may take a few days. its good though shows ur not desperate for 2nd date

Only someone who's never had sex would ask that question. Once you have sex, its definately worth the risk. The only way to avoid it is to live like a monk, not reality, its just one of those things that you have to accept that you have a 20% chance of getting no matter what. Same here, neg also. Just a bony ass causing some ingrown hairs but ditto on that not the end of the world, from my understanding for most people with normal immune systems it's just not much of an issue, like someone said, essentially a cold sore once in a while.STR8UP said:

one and two are the same virus, just different strains, which means 1 is less severe than 2... and you can spread either strain to either place. (( just like i did))speakeasy said:

How easy is it to get herpes if the girl has no visible outbreak signs? We've all just made out with some random chic we met at a club or party I'm sure and then never saw again. I wonder how risky that is. And if she has genital herpes in her bloodstream, will kissing you pass that into your body?

sorry but you can get herpes even using a condom.. a cold sore on the mouth can give you herpes on your **** or in your mouth or even your eyes and herpes on the genitals can give you a cold sore on the mouth (which is herpes) or eye herpes - just touch an open herpes or cold sore and you can spread it to other places. You are at practically 100% risk of getting herpes when you make skin contact with outbreaks.
