Haven't posted in a while, just came back to get some tips etc.

I got the bodyweight training book 'Never Gymless' for xmas, and I think I'm going to switch around my routines to bodyweight training, looks good.

okay that was very off topic but what the hell..

1. My diet and training is for fat loss and muscle gain, the results have come slowly but surely.. I eat chicken, turkey, eggs, salmon, lots of veggies and fruits and try to drink alot of water.. I want to try ground beef, I haven't touched it before because I heard red meat stays inside you for aaages and increases chances of cancer etc. but then I've heard upsides of course. I just want to know if someone knows how to include red meat (thinking ground beef here..) in a diet that cuts fat and promotes muscle growth?

2. At school I can't eat that great, they put out ****ty lunches (white bread etc., low grade processed meats.. yuck) so I bring in two turkey sandwiches on wholegrain bread, is there a healthier alternative?

3. Any other tips for a teen who wants to lose fat and put on muscle?

thanks

The negative effects of red meat come mostly from the fat in it. If you are concerned about it, try to get the leanest cuts of meat that are available to you.

Have you cut out most refined carbs and sugar? Are you doing any cardio?

I barely if ever eat refined carbs or sugary sweet foods etc. I only cheat for like.. 1 meal on a saturday and then its back to being healthy.

I am doing cardio, I wear a rucksack filled with 20kg and do stepups with that in my workouts..

also

I just recently made a 25kg sandbag, does anyone else incorporate the use of a sandbag into their routines? and what exercises can they recommend?

thanks

ground beef won't kill you. you're right to avoid processed lunch meats. all the studies on "red meat" and cancer, etc. lump all that stuff together, so they're useless for telling you what's wrong with beef (hint: nothing).
