I really like that tv series, I like the setting and the characters as much as the fact that you never know how things are going, however just saw episode 9 yesterday and it left me pretty disturbed...am I too sensitive or you also find unpleasable to see pregnant women knifed in the bellies, men mutilated/tortured and worst of all animals killed inside a cage.

I liked so much tv series like rome from hbo, which was as straight as cruel in terms of violence and sex but I guess we're pretty close to the limit here.

It's not the blood and the killing, but the reason and whats behind it mostly.

Anyway favourite characted from the beginning, the witty pimpy dwarf.

lol he talking about the red wedding, that episode disturbed everyone, even hardcore fans

but, you have to remember who dares win "the north never forgets"

on a side note, I was kind of rooting for the starks but over all I'm rooting for dragon lady, she is really the only person on the show who truly deserves the iron throne.

Its not the plain violence which disturbed me but mostly the violence against innocent people that didnt see it coming, if lannister son was to lose his hand while fighting it wouldnt been as disturbing as have him mutilated while tied.

Same with Rob Stark, it seemed like they built an alliance and they were celebrating only to have that old bastard to betray him and kill him and his mother along with all his men around with the support of that traitor of his captain.

Then of course the wolf killed inside the cage with arrows.

Anyway yeah I guess at the end of season 3 you either have to support the dragon queen or the dwarf, all of the other characters proved to deserve the treatment that greyjoy got.

Except few knights here and there like Loral Tyrel, Jon Snow and that one which helps the dwarf here and there, my symphaty goes to the dwarf...probably cause I behave the same as him in real life...

When I read the books, I had read that section five times to fully realize the impact. It was that disturbing. Although in the books Rob's wife was not there and thus wasn't murdered.

The hardest part for me was reading three books to find the whole clan I was rooting for to be exterminated.

I like reading books where heroes die as I find it far more realistic, but the price is that it can disturb you.

Stay with the show, there is so much more coming.
Agreed. I'm in the middle of A Dance with Dragons. I started the books two years ago, but they are such an undertaking that I just have to chip away at them.

The Red Wedding was super fvcked up in both the show and the books. However, seeing it on screen is more disturbing, I think. The scene where the Freys parade Robb Stark's decapitated body around with his wolf's head staked on is the most disturbing scene of the entire show thus far. I did not feel good after watching that. I REALLY hope Walder Frey gets his at some point in the saga.

I think the most fvcked up part of the books, however, is Theon's torture at the hands of Ramsay Snow. Or really the whole character of Ramsay Snow---hunting and raping and skinning women, torturing Theon for what seems like over a year....skinning all the Ironmen....he is just a monster of depravity.

My favorite characters are Jamie Lannister and Jon Snow. I liked King Robert a lot too. He was a great man and warrior who turned out to be a terrible king. Not all men are made to rule.

My favorite is Littlefinger, without a doubt. Probably the most devious man in the whole series.

I love watching the scenes between Him and Varys.

I am waiting for the next book in the series. There are some good future scenes between the Frey's and Lord Manderly of White Harbor. I won't give them away but I can't wait to see them on the tv series.

little finger, varys, and the lannister dwarf are hands down the best characters in the book.

one of my new favorites though is jon snow, first season he was a pu$$y, this season he really showed how much of a bad a$$ he is.

Yup. I agree. That scene was disturbing. I sat there in complete shock then without even thinking about it I was yelling (well not yelling but loudly saying) Noooooo! I was thinking tho had the king let them go when lady stark pleaded to him while holding his daughter at knife point what she might have done had they survived their wounds and left... Poor starks. At least Aryia (spelling) is still alive and her sister is too. I can't wait for Joffrey to die and I also can't wait to see what the kahlesi does next. I was also disturbed by the scene where buddy (can't remember his name) in the torture chamber gets his dyck cut off. Talk about fvcked up.. Lol

aryia brothers are still alive to...which are jon snow, bran, and rickon.

Since robb is dead, bran is next in line as the king of the north, and dude is beyond smart for his age, plus he has those powers where he can control animals.
