Okay guys. I work a lot. So I never really go to sit down and really watch GoT. I started watching the entire series 2 weeks ago. It started slow. But i'm not stupid, I understand character development and things so I said I would give it some time. And I admit, it got interesting.

But I'm on the last episode of season 3 and i'm done. this tv show is horrible. And i'm going to tell you why it's horrible. It's the anti breaking bad.

In breaking bad. There is absolutely nothing that Jessie and Walt could have did, to where you knew that they weren't going to live (until the last episode of course). Jessie should have gotten whacked in the 2nd season. By the beginning of season 4 it was comical to the extent of what they could do and still survive.

Game of Thrones is the exact opposite. You know EVERYONE that is worth a **** is going to die. It's to the point where it's anti climatic. Then they are trolling me with this douche bag king that can't do **** and yet has survived 4 seasons. Neither is realistic. It's not realistic that Walt and Jessie can take on the Mexican mafia, the FBI, the DNA and Gus and live, nor is it realistic that everyone worth a **** in GoT can die while everyone you hate, can live.

Nerds like to say "well you know, you don't understand character development, go watch a easy show to follow". Just becuase a TV Show is complex does not make it a good show. I know a lot of TV shows that were complex that sucked balls. This being one of them.

King Joeffry is dead now. 2nd or 3rd show of this season he gets poisoned.

The show is based off of 7 books. 5 of which are written so far. 5 very well written and very well received books.

I think it is much more realistic that lots of people die, both good and evil, especially because of the time in which this fantasy took place and the dangers they faced, rather than the opposite. Even in our real medieval history, people did not live very long and were dying at young ages all of the time.

And if you had read the books, you will know that most of the evil people start getting killed off as well as the books go on.

Game of thrones is good. Spartacus is better.. Except the main character dies IRL at end of season one and so season 2 was a prequil to season 1 to introduce Ganikus (from 300 movie) and then move up to end of season 1 again and start off season 3 with a whole new spartacus character to carry on the show. Takes a bit of getting used to the new spartacus though.

Spartacus kicks azz. Game of thrones is entertaining.

Btw Kalhesi (the dragon mom) kicks ass too.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

Maybe I don't comprehend the English language really well, but normally when a person says this....

"But I'm on the last episode of season 3 and i'm done. this tv show is horrible."

So yes I saw that you wrote you were at the end of season 3. I also saw what you said right after. "I'm done". To me that means you are done watching the show and therefore you should care less if a spoiler is given out or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong here haha. If I am? Apologies.

Yeah I been watching this show since it started, I like how characters are not promised to live all the way through.

Seems like the battles of the kings are coming to a stand still too, the only person I can see still fighting is baratheon, everyone else seems to be satisfied where their at, at the moment.

Lol its funny backbreaker was talking about king joffrey still alive yet, he still hasn't seen the recent season lol

More magic to come too! The series goes harry potter closer to the end, can't wait for all the magic creatures to come out, its gonna be cool. Honestly, I read and heard about the scenes from the red wedding but it was much much better watching it, absolutely horrifying and pretty gross. Props to them.

Could do without the gaysex sh1t, apparently not even in the books.... so wtf HBO?

Meh, I still watch it but it has lost a huge deal of my interest. Why? Because it just drags on and on and on... From the very beginning in season one, I got the feeling that things were slowly building up towards...SOMETHING. Now we're at the fourth season and I still feel the same way, the show just drags on...

It's like having a naked woman in your bed and kissing her for four hours. Your d!ck is hard, her pvssy is wet, the two of you should've at least been fingering/jerking each other or something, but after FOUR FVCKING HOURS you're still doing the same thing you started with, just kissing...

Here's a perfect example: Remember the very end of season two? How fat Sam encountered the undead army, how the army marched forward and the season ended with this kind of cliffhanger? Ooooh, they're coming...watch ouuut...anticipaaaate....

Well, I have been anticipating but sh!t is never happening!!!!

Now fast forward to the end of episode 4 -season 4, which is ONE AND A HALF SEASON FURTHER. We still get the exact same kind of sh!t, some eerie scene of the white walker and a baby, trying to get the audience excited....again... Ooooh, the white walkers are preparing themselves!!! Oooohhh, how EXCITING!! Stay tuned, people!!

FVCK THAT SH!T MAN!!! They did the same thing in season two already, which aired TWO FVCKING YEARS AGO!! It's about time something finally HAPPENS! The audience of this show is getting PLAYED! If this show was a woman, she'd be a fvcking attention wh0re who constantly tells you she wants to meet up with you but everytime you set up a date, SHE FLAKES!

And this is just an example, coz the same principle applies to many other aspects of the show. It's just becoming tedious and boring... What about big field battles? The battle of the Blackwater was the only thing coming close. There HAVE been more big battles but these were never shown, just some bits and pieces then the screen turns black and we see THE AFTERMATH of the battle. There is never a giant scope of the battle, the battles are always RESTRAINED.

It seems like the director has this incredible and unstoppable urge for safe and restricted scenes. Two or three people....in a room....having a conversation.... That's what every scene in this show must be about, it seems. It's as if I'm watching a play in a theater, on a stage. The grand scope of the story is something that the audience has to put together in their own mind...you have to combine all the seperate, limited scenes and remind yourself that they form a WHOLE together.

The show simply does not DELIVER. By now, in the fourth season, it should have already! Don't get me wrong, it's a very good show. But I constantly feel like the makers of this show are holding back and limiting the possibilities. It could be much greater!

It's like when you kiss a girl and she pulls back as you want to plant your lips on hers. She's teasing you, that's fun. But she is supposed to put her lips on yours after doing this one or two times, lol. If she would keep playing that game indefinitely, you'd get bored, frustrated and you'd LOSE FVCKING INTEREST in kissing her!
I feel the same way with this show, the bullsh!t has been dragging along for too long now, to a point where I feel like it wouldn't make a difference whether I actually WATCHED the latest episode or just read a short summary of the episode.

Rant over

You have to remember the dragons being born brung back the magic, if you notice before the dragons no magic was around 1st season.

Also die hard you have to remember that the producers of the show have a budget, its only so much money you can put into a tv show, yes a tv show not a movie.

Also one more thing, to backbreaker about all the good guys dying and the bad guys living

if you truly think about it, there are really no bad characters in game of thrones, if you count joffery and a handful of others.

for instance, the lannisters that family is really not evil at all, sneaky yes, but they do what they have to do to protect their own. Everyone feel like they have the right to the iron throne and in truth most of them have legit reasons of having it.

Anybody who complains about the show but has never taken the time to read the books just needs to be ignored. Yeah, I know, lots of great shows are based on books but these are HUGE, epic, rich books of about 800 pages each---5 of them and counting. It took me over a year to read all of them...I took my time though.

Overall I think the producers and writers have done a great job. They do take some liberties like all the gay sex, "tie-in" characters, and a few sub-plots; but it's tough to translate books of that scope into a 1 hour tv show each week. Some scenes I think they just put in there for sensationalism (like Rob Stark's wife getting stabbed and killed, or Varys finding the man who castrated him all those years ago), but for the most part it is a primo show that represents the books well.

Exactly, to put all that stuff in the show in a hour time, and you are still complaining

then you don't have a clue how tv networks and budgets work. You can only do so much with the special effects, the time, and all those characters.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

I agree with BB and Die Hard on this one, GOT blows as a tv show. The acting is excellent, but the characters' actions are puerile and contrived IMO. I don't like shows where every new set is the equivalent of an act in a play where everyone must have their "dialogue drama moment." Some things are better developed visually than textually. Some scenes should simply move the plot and speak for themselves without bogging down into a mass of dialogue. This is what made BB so great. I find the same problem GOT has is true of many post Sopranos HBO formula dramas like Boardwalk Empire, great premise, great characters, but soap opera failings. IMO each of the GOT books could have made good 2.5 hour movies ala LOTR, not each book being a whole season of tv show.

Read the books a long time ago and for anyone who likes that kind of thing and hasn't yet read Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun, I envy you. I read those back in the 80s when they came out, have reread many times since, and the only bad thing is that once you've read those it will be hard to read/watch mainstream fantasy after.

BTW has anyone seen a porno called "Game of Bones" yet? If it isn't out, it's inevitably coming soon.

I only watch tv shows after they've been out at least a couple years and then just get the dvds. Here are some I've found good over the years you might check out if not seen yet.

Definites

Breaking Bad
The Wire
24
Sopranos
X Files
Spartacus
Californication
Entourage
Weeds (first 3 seasons)
Law & Order (first 4 seasons ONLY)
Nip Tuck
Andy Griffith Show (don't laugh, one of the best shows ever on tv if not the best)

Maybes

Boardwalk Empire
House
Eastbound & Down
Lost (I hate this but everyone else on the planet loved it)

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.
